I've never made juice before so I'm looking for a push in the right direction.

So far my favorite off the shelf flavors are Marlboro, Virginia, Hilton, and coffee. 24mg. I don't like any of the fruit flavors so far.

I'm poking around DIY Flavor Shack by E-Cig Smoke Store looking at different kits. I see that they have the flavors I already like.

Questions:

1) Should I buy a kit? Which one? If no, what do i need?

2) Will the instructions be enough information to get started?

3) Is this more cost effective than buying 50ml for $20?

4) Do I need anything else that doesn't come with the kits?

Thanks much,

Hey Gooney! I think tobacco flavors are going to be tough for a beginner. I think they tend to be tobacco extracts and a soup of other flavors. Mot people start with more simple flavors like caramel or chocolate, which can be bought from Loranns as pure flavors, then mixed.

As for mixing gear, I have a tool box like on DIY flavorshack for my stuff. I haven't found it online, but their deal is not bad, given that you get a fair amount of juice and a tool box. I get syringes from JuicyLiquid, as well as dropper bottles. I like syringes because you dont have to touch the liquid as much, and they are easy to clean with vodka.

Yes, DIY will save you some money, but it also gets you closer to knowing exactly what you are vaping. And I'm a chemist, so making cool potions is priceless to me! I'm vaping my own tobacco/maple/praline/vanilla concoction tonight, and it may just be the best thing I've vaped yet. :w00t:

I'm sure you will get good advice from others. Have fun! DIY rules...for just about everything in life.
