Beautiful Central Florida
Hello everyone ... just wanted to say thanks so much for all the info, direction and advice. I spent a few days reading and researching and reading, reading and ... did I say reading here. I smoked my last tobacco cigarette in July and have been using White Cloud mostly (disposables and cartridges) and a few Blu, but have not touched even one tobacco cigarette since. I was however putting out WAY too much money each month the way I was going. I ended up (thanks to all of you) purchasing the Halo Trident starter kit and some extras that I gathered here were "must haves". Got my kit today and love it. Like many I have been REALLY enjoying Kringle's Curse but haven't tried many flavors so far. I also really like Tribecca. Funny how everyone's tastes are so different ... I did try VooDoo but found it disgusting! So you're right ... you either love it or you don't. Again, just thanks for all the good advice and guidance. :2cool:

Welcome! Isn't the Triton great? Halo really excels at one-stop shopping. No fuss. Just batteries and juice that perform. I ran the gamut of research for weeks like you did before ending up here. No regrets.

If you like Kringles Curse, consider ordering the menthol sample pack of 6 flavors for $25. Maybe even the tobacco or gourmet sampler. I bet you will find your ADV (all day vape) somewhere in there. I have tried all 22 flavors. I found Voodoo repulsive as well.

Southern Classic is my favorite. It's light and crisp, but packs a wicked nice citrus/honey/clove flavor. Something completely in its own profile, that's what makes Halo unique. To me they are trend setters, not followers. Mystic is the best menthol I've ever tried.

There are a lot of helpful and knowledgeable guys and gals on here. Enjoy your stay!

Welcome Birthangel and congratulations on your Triton starter kit and other gear. What color did you get? I also love Kringle's Curse, I haven't tried Tribeca but I'm going to soon. The voodoo for me has been I hate it one day and then I'll like it on other days. Some will like voodoo after steeping for a month, so revisit voodoo in a month, I am.

We are here for you if you need questions answered or just want to visit with some pretty good people in my opinion. It can get crazy here sometimes but we have fun.

Wow for being off cigs since July that is awesome!!!!!!!

BirthAngel, Welcome!!!

The Triton is amazing, innit? And you can appreciate it because of what you used to vape.

(I love it when they do their due diligence, research, and don't expect the answer to just be given to them.)

Well, you made a great choice. Enjoy it. And any problems, you come ask us, ok?

Guess what??

You are now Halon!!!

Thanks everyone! I can't believe how much better I feel without tobacco in my life. I was a 43 year user so this is awesome. As for the Malibu, I'm getting pineapple mint with a hint of coconut. I'm a tropics kinda gal so seems to fit. I do love coconut ANYTHING and seriously, I think I already have a Malibu problem. Was looking to see if it comes in 55 gallon drums  As for the Voodoo, I can't imagine any period of time that will make me like it but I will re-visit in a month as advised. I got something like rancid grapes infused with just a touch of locker room from it. But to each his own!

If you got the small 7ml bottle of voodoo, try taking that Nipple off and letting it steep (air out) for awhile. I did for about a week, then I put the nip back on and never tired it. I pulled it out the other day, wow! Tasted great! I didn't like it at first kinda pepperie for me, but after the steep, it was nice.

Congrats on getting your triton and not smoking! It's a hard thing to do! View attachment 298334

DO put it down for a little while...

I'm still fairly new to this (half a month) but EVEYBODY has told me, take a few hits, put it down and drink some water ( a lot of water), also power-vaping can heat up the tank a lot, and possibly cause a lot of condensation in the system.

Another fact I found really interesting was that a real cig (analogs), each hit takes 10-15 seconds to deliver the nicotine, meanwhile, vaping can take 2-4 minutes to get the full effect...

In short, until you get the feel and rythm, take it slow!

Thanks Aviationrich. Again, good advice. I have all my little bottles lined up in a row with the caps off like a good little newbie Halon, just as advised. Feels kind of like a new vape ritual starting. Is that normal behavior?

Once you find your favorite, you'll be buying it in the big bottles. Those have eye droppers instead of nips. Halo pre steeps their juice, but some need a little longer.

Normal?

Within my reach, I have 15 30ml bottles, 7 10ml, and about 15 7ml samples.

Normal?

After smoking since 1974, I don't want nor crave a cigarette.

Normal?

Like going outside at 2F to inhale 92 known carcinogens?

Birthangel, you are starting a wonderful new journey, There is nothing "normal" about that!

Welcome and congrats Birthangel!
I'm just blown away by your story of completely getting off the stinkies with only cig a likes since July, after having been a smoker for 43yrs. That is quite a feat, and must have taken an iron-willed resolve! WTG! So glad you love your new Triton. It truly is an awesome device. You did your homework kiddo, and now it's payin' off! You've gotten a lot of good info already, so I have nothing to add in that area except, don't be a stranger, vape, and have fun! congrats.jpg

Never in a million years did I think it would work. I had never quit before. Just must've been my time. I was ready. Thanks for the support!

And now you need a banner in your footer. Just click on a banner you like, then follow the directions. Paste the code in your settings.

Just to chime in here. I've found some little tricks that make the Triton even more consistently awesome:

1) "Tip and swirl" the unit a little bit if you haven't hit it in a while. That will make sure the wicks are really coated nicely with liquid. You don't need to do it constantly, just if it's been sitting for a while.

2) Watch your coil heat. If it feels warm to the touch, you can imagine how hot it is inside. Maybe you're not a crazy chain-vaper like me, but keep an eye on it, if you're hitting it hard. Just give it a minute and it'll be good as new.

3) Don't let it get too empty. Even if you're good at the tip and swirl thing, it's awfully difficult when the tank is at .2ml left. So when it hits about .5, just top it off.

4) As others here told me, get denture cleaner. The cheapest stuff you can find. It's DIRT cheap, and when it's time to clean your tank and coil, it works wonders.

That's it. Enjoy, and congrats!

Wes
