Hello All,

As a 25+ year PAD smoker, I'd really love to quit for many reasons.

I initially tried V2 ecigs and found them to be blah. (My apologies go out to whomever likes these here) Several of my cousins that have successfully given up analogs suggested that I try an eGo T which I've done rather well with over the past few weeks in trying to transition over. (I'm usually able to cut out between 2-8 analogs a day)

I initially ran into problems with the 50/50 juices leaving my mouth feeling like it had an oily coating to it and did some experimenting and found that 70 PG/30 VG juices (or close) have worked wonders for me. I've also noticed that I don't experience a heaviness in my chest the following mornings.

With that being said, I've tried a plethora of juices. The problem is, I've never had a sweet tooth, so most of the juices that I've tried are just too sweet for my liking. (I've never been one to like cookies, cakes, sugary cereals, kool-aid or the like) I've tried some vanilla and coffee types of juices and within an hour or two, they taste just awful to me but I don't want to give up.

It's since been suggested to me that I try tobacco flavors to be able to fully transition over to vaping. Could anyone here assist me in suggesting a tobacco flavor that could compare to my current Virginia Slim Ultra-Light Non Methol analogs? I would be eternally grateful for any advice given.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Shelby

Hi and welcome to the board. I am afraid I don't have an answer to your question as I do not use tobacco flavored juices and never did find one that tasted good to me, even in the beginning. But there is a large and active juice community around here, and I'm sure somebody else will be able to help you. FWIW, I DIY my juice and I like spice flavors like clove and peppermint and cinnamon. Those are only as sweet as you put in sweetener, so something along these lines may be an option for you. Good luck.

First, know that a liquid will rarely taste like a particular brand of smokes. A lot of folks have luck with unflavored eliquid.

That being said, Rocky Mountain Vapor uses 70/30 in their stock. The flavors there are very basic and the prices are good, especially with their discount code for 25% off; SUMMER15. Free shipping with a $14 order.

I would try the Kent flavor, one of my favorites as well as the Ry4 and DK-Tab.

As well, I enjoyed the Vape Wild Reds Type e-juice. Perhaps give Lights Type e-juice a try. It's 70/30.

Thank you for the warm welcome, Suprtrkr.

If I had a sweet tooth, I think I'd be set but unfortunately I don't. Several of my cousins that I mentioned above were able to give up their analogs overnight with berry, grape and similar juices.

I'm such a newbie to vaping that DIY juices sounds so overwhelming to me at the moment!

Thank you for taking the time to write and congrats on your accomplishment of becoming an ex-smoker! (I'm not giving up and hope to be in your shoes one day soon!)

    Take care,
    Shelby

Shelby, you can also try Nicoticket. I believe that all of their juices have tobacco flavor as a base. If you do a search here (they're a forum supplier and lots of members swear by their juice) I believe you will find lots of reviews of their juice and I think that they also offer a 50 percent discount for your first order.

EDIT: You can also try unflavored ejuice as well. Many people say that unflavored tastes like Marlboro Lights.

It may take awhile to find a flavor you like, just don't give up!! The sweets are probably the most popular, but there are some good other flavors, I wouldn't say any good tobacco flavors, at least none that I've found. Just real hard to duplicate the flavor of something actually burning I think.

Thank you for your response, Smacuser.

I have much to learn, as I didn't even know that unflavored liquid even existed! I'll certainly give it a shot.

I truly appreciate your suggestions and will try the few from Rocky Mountain Vapor. I do realize that it's nearly impossible to find a liquid that would taste like what I'm currently trying to transition off of, only hoping to find something with a bit more of a tobacco taste, if that makes sense.

I'm currently using the Lights type e-juice from Vape Wild but am not that thrilled over the taste. I also ordered the USA Blend and am waiting for it to steep. Perhaps I should try the Red as you suggested, as well.

Thank you again for your response and suggestions, they're much appreciated!

RMV might not be your cup of tea as they use similar flavor components.

I can't comment on the other VW tobaccos, except to say I was not thrilled with the Havana Bourbon.

I know this is going to be trial and error but I'm going to give the unflavored juice a try. It would be an added bonus if it was even remotely similar to Marlboro Lights! I'll look into Nicoticket, as well.

Thanks for taking the time to respond to me, I appreciate it.
    Congrats on becoming an ex-smoker!
    Welcome to ECF!

You can buy unflavored e-juice from several vendors. This is one that lets you choose the nic level and VG/PG ratio Unflavored E Juice - Mt Baker Vapor - Electronic Cigarettes

Thank you for the welcome and for the link, as well.

Even though I've spent several months reading over the forum, I'm still such a newbie to vaping. I wish that I would've tried unflavored juice before investing on so many flavors.

    Congrats on your smoke-free status!

Thank you for your response. I don't want to give up, that's why I joined here! I figured that many could give me ideas and so many members have come through and I am grateful. I really want to give up smoking and better my health. I guess I just need to figure out through trial and error what my taste buds like.

Thanks for this, it'll save me some time and money.

I appreciate all of your responses, you're a wonderful group of people!

I checked their site but can't find their PG/VG ratio. Would you (or anyone else) by chance have any idea?

Most vendors will mix your order to your preferred ratio, so if you want a 70/30 mix just ask! I've never dealt with a place that told me no when I asked for a different mix ratio or a custom nic level.

    Hi Shelby,
I would also try 80/20 and even 90/10....while your experimenting :) That's what I did and found 30% vg is the most I can tolerate. But I prefer and use 80/20 the most.
Sorry I can't help with what you smoke. I started DIY almost immediately, but did order from here twice and did some of my experiments with ratio's. Giving 2 links because there is a coupon discount on the home page and the other is to "tobacco'.
    Wish you well
