+7 on the Kayfun I think. Get an Ohm's Law calculator. Lots out there for computer or android, etc. volts or watts, doesn't matter as long as you can make the conversions. I use this calculator a lot:

Watts - volts - amps - ohms conversion calculator

And several others on my phone. The MVP V2 has an ohm meter and uses VV or VW, might consider an upgrade. Most all other APV's have a built in Ohm meter now. They are that important, and critical for building coils. Lots of great videos out there, but one name comes to mind for coil building:

Rip Trippers

He does several YouTube videos on the Kayfun. Here's an advanced double nano coil. However, use a larger drill bit (5/64") and build one micro coil, not two nano coils, and you can use everything else in this video:

Micro coils with cotton is the cat's meow for me on the Kayfun. Rip Trippers shows you how to build micro coils and wick them with cotton on numerous videos. They are really easy after half a dozen attempts (or less), and vape like there's no tomorrow. My ADV is a kayfun 3.1 on the Semy in hybrid mode. Surprised I got to this point, after clearos for 6 months, then carto tanks for 6 months. Now the RBA's are just a magnitude better vape, and I may never go back to other devices. If I do use carto tanks, I'll probably get a Sophia for use in my nice carto tanks. Nothing like building your own coils.

You will need some build gear. This is a good video for what you need:

Also, study battery safety at Battery University. Ohm's Law videos are helpful:

Good luck in your VapeQuest. Power up and Vape On!

Edit:

BTW, this Grimm Green video is good for both Ohm's Law and the Kayfun:

I just got my Tobeco Kayfun Lite Clone Rebuildable Atomizer RBA (Adjustable Air-hole) yesterday in the mail. I did not have time to build a coil for it so I just tested the coil that comes installed on it. It comes in at a solid 2.5 Ohms. I added some drops of juice to the wick and filled the tank. YES the kayfuns are tanks. All day long on my kamray mechanical mod this thing works great. I read a LOT about the kayfun here at ECF and decided to give it a try. This weekend I'm gonna build a 1.0 Ohm wire for it and wick it with organic cotton. Right now the stock 2.5 coil and silica wick are out performing all my protanks. I have protanks 1,2, 3, and the newest protank aero. I love the adjustable air flow. Be sure you get a kayfun with adjustable air. Makes all the difference in the world to me.

I'd calling a dripping tank lol.. but for real its good quality. and good vape. im sure you could do all kinds of crazy things with it but I vape to not smoke cigarettes. i want something reliable and something that produces enough vapor to satisfy my addiction to smoking. i do underground utility drilling . ive dropped it and smashed it , got it oily and it always cleans right up and toots away. ive broke drip tips , ego batteries , lavatubes. but the kayfun lives on solid as ever. I do a simple micro coil with cotton wick around 1.2 or 1.5 ohms and it never lets me down.
Is the kayfun or kayfun lite a tank or a dripper?

Another question. I use the MVP version one with just volts. Do I need to get a mod that shows wattage or can I use my mvp

101 vape has a great price on an ohm reader. I think it's 14.95. I just got one in last week.
AN ohm reader is imprtant and better than using ohms law charts or programs because you cant make an error.
Just screw it on and it reads.

Get some coil, tweezers, cotton and a mini torch or a lighter. Heck I used the stove when I first started. Just make sure
to wear oven mitts.:p You'll also need some drill bits. A 1/16 and 5/64 should help and a mini phillips screw driver.

Watch some videos on Youtube by GrimmGreem and RipTrippers. GG is more of a reviewer but has some nice layman videos on coil building. RT is more of a professional coil builder.

Besides the Kayfun clones what else would be a good buy? I know it's going to be an investment with buying all the supplies to start out but just wanting other options too look at? I have tried dripping and it just isn't what I like and have time for with a 15 month old daughter running around and working in the oilfield also.
