Newbie to the forum, second go-round in vaping...and a couple questions.

I have been really going at, understanding and sticking with vaping for the second time. I tried about 3 years ago, purchased a kit from 'blu' and went back to smoking a month later. Now, I am three months smokeless and enjoying vaping more. There is more to it now I believe and more knowledge has allowed me to easily slide into it...but it also helps that my new wife has helped me kick the habit. She doesn't mind me vaping and she even puffs on an ego cTwist with a strawberry concoction I made that has no nicotine.

Anyway, I'm glad this forum exists...I'm not even sure it existed back then, but I have been reading it the last two weeks. I am also visiting a knowledgeable person here in Las Vegas at TruVape and with their help, I have found something that is helping me stay on it and not turn to cigarettes again (which I almost did...again!)

I am currently using ProVari with a Protank 2 and a couple iClear 30bs. I have had bad luck with top feeders constantly starting to turn into a burnt taste in the first 4 days of using replacement coils. I have nto switched out my Protank 2 coil in a week and have yet to swap out the coils in my iclears.

Now that I have found what makes me happy and content, I started turning to making my own juice...it's just to much a crappy drive to the other side of the valley to get my supplies... and it's fun. I have made two juices of my own that taste pretty good. I'll post the recipe down below. A quick question on The Flavor's Apprentice flavors I got from Wizard Labs...they are PG based, unless specified, correct?

And a shameless want, which only comes because I feel I have to ask two questions to start off; does ANYONE have a decent clone to Whitchers Brew Level 1 Elixir? Besides my own concoction, it is a daily flavor for me. I would love to be able to make it myself and tweaks some of the flavors that come out.

Anyway, I hope my stay here is enjoyable!

And now, for the third promise...the recipe:
Daily Juice recipe (I call it White Cherry Ambrosia)
100mg Nicotine strength 100% VG base
20mg Nic strength (of course this can be changed...)
White Chocolate 2%
Vanilla Bean Ice Cream 4%
Maraschino Cherry 8%
Black Cherry 8%

Thoughts on this recipe... I would like to add 'plain' Cherry for the 5th flavor and replace Vanilla Bean Ice Cream with French Vanilla. As this recipe stands, it's pretty 'spicey' (maybe not the right word?) due to the White Chocolate I think....but after the first 24 hours of steeping in room temperature and an open top, it mellows out to a pretty smooth (Not as smooth as Level 1 Elixir) vapor.

And finally, the second recipe... I admit, this one turned out pretty good for my first juice. I like it as much as my White Cherry Ambrosia

I call it, Black Dragon Passion: (I am working on a White version... so any suggestions on that would be awesome)
100mg Nicotine strength 100% VG base
20mg Nic strength (of course this can be changed...)
Passion Fruit 4% (comes out too strong in my opinion otherwise)
Dragon Fruit 9%
Black Cherry 11% (not as strong as you think to match the Dragon Fruit.)

Welcome James! Although I don't have any input in regards to your concoctions, I did want to tell you that you've found a great site, and I'm sure you'll enjoy the stay! :)

Good luck with your "this time around", I'm pretty sure most of us have/still are there. Not only is this site a wealth of information, but a great support system as well.

Take care. :)

Here's to a long and good standing relationship ;)

I am kinda surprised that my post is on the [more than 7th page, I quit looking] page. It seems this forum is quite active. I do wish I had posting rights, I really only have questions, nothing to offer, and mostly on juices. Especially the DIY section.

I guess I can post the news that I am sending my brother one of my eGo cTwist batteries...see if he likes it. In my travels I wish I had found one in the first place. Would have saved me the $80 I spent initially :( BUT :) we all make mistakes, right? and hopefully some of us can learn from them ;) Thank you, Prylosis and Jujujolly. I bet I would have more welcomes if my post hadn't fallen in the ranks so fast... I don't like the rule on this, but "rules are rules" I am willing to play by them.

Glad you are here, James. And congrats on giving vaping a second go-around. Everyone's experience is different, but it is not how many times I fall that counts, but how many times I get up and try again. So again, congrats on getting up and trying again.

You are so right, this is a fantastic community of supportive and folks who share their vaping knowledge and experience. Sometimes the board moves quickly, so keep on vaping and keep on posting. Happy New Year and namaste.
