Hello all,

First time poster here and a rookie vapor that's been lurking for a week or so. I decided to quit analogs because my girlfriend is pregnant and who wants to shower before holding their kid on a daily basis? I turned to vaping as an alternative that is safe around my girlfriend and I can still get my nicotine. Win win in my opinion. Anyways, as of now I have the Blu kit and didn't realize how big of a community vaping was so I'm here introducing myself to the rest of the community. So far, after 2 weeks of use, I've had to replace the Blu kit because of a bad battery and I'm ready to move on.

I've made up my mind at this point to try the puck mod since it's cheap and it's something I can put my own spin on. Plus, it uses batteries that are readily available and I can have multiples and get plenty of life out of a fresh set of batteries. Anyways, I'm sure I'm gonna want to either build more mods or buy a few other mods. The things I'm looking for are lower maintenance parts, longer battery life, nice thick vapor and an overall good vape. Right now, I'm probably recharging each battery 3-4 times a day over the course of 14 hours and I used to be a pack a day smoker if any of that matters. I'm hoping to get at least 12 hours from a single charge in the puck mod and I plan to use a 4AA box for this mod so that should give me plenty of juice for the day running 3 batteries. My ultimate goal is to have a bottle fed mod so I don't have to refill as much or worry about dripping into a cart(if that's correct) and it should have long battery life, any advice on building a nice one myself would be awesome.

I've been installing car audio(not tiny systems that best buy does, real competition vehicles that actually win at shows other than local ones and have worked on championship vehicles as well) as far back as I can remember so fabricating things is a strong suit of mine as well as wiring and soldering. I'm not really sure on all the terms as of yet so take it easy on me.

I've already ordered a smok tech 901 2ohm atomizer for my first puck mod from madvapes along with some e-juices so I'm on the path to a better vape as compared to the Blu's.

If you guys and gals can give me some advice on where to get some good e-juice as well I'd appreciate it. (sorry if this is kind of incoherent, I'm just trying to cram everything into my first post and things are coming to me as I type)

Hi and welcome! Feel free to be incoherent, I frequently am.

I have a minor suggestion: some of us have difficulty reading blocks of text, you might consider putting in line spacing to break it up. Cheers!

Thanks

Another incoherent thought actually but only after I posted. lol

Hey! Welcome to ECF! Congrats on making the switch & on the baby soon to come!

Thank you, thank you and thank you!

Hi there! Welcome from another newbie!! I don't have much to offer as of yet, but I can tell you that https://www.vermillionriverejuice.com/ has some nice flavors, their hot cinnamon tastes just like red hots, pomegranate and caramelized cappuccino are pretty good also.

There are a lot of places that sell juice so please don't take this as the only place to go, the General E-Liquid Discussion has lots of good posts to read on the topic. Hope this helps a bit.
:)

Somewhere in New England
I will second Becca's suggestion-
Mount Baker's has very good, inexpensive juice...and they ship quick too.

As for the mods....well...
I have been working on a Puck mod for the last three weeks.
Not because it's hard- just my silly indecision.

Got the box- installed the led and switch...'Maybe I want to make it out of wood ???'
Do I want an LED after all ?
Wait...Maybe I don't want a switch...go mechanical.
3 AAA- no, a 18650- wait-I want a bottom feeder.
aaaannnnnnddd- another day gone.

Welcome- and Best to You !

Thanks for the tips and info everyone. I started working on my puck last night but I'm waiting on the atty to get here before I can continue. I bought enough stuff to do a 4aaa and a 4aa mod so I'll be playing with them to see which I like the best.

The 4aaa box will be the standard puck, the 4aa I'm thinking I'll try a bottle fed mod with. Not sure as tohow iI want to go about it yet. My issue is connecting the bottle feeder tube to the atty plug.(I think those are proper terms. lol).

I've seen a few people do different things but all I know is I don't want a metal tube in the juice so its gonna be a plastic hose that I saw in another thread somewhere on the net. Just have to get the bottle and hose in my hands so I can figure it all out, hard to plan without the gear.

So far, mod boxes seems like something I can find myself doing when I'm not playing with car audio or my motorcycle plus its an indoor activity so weather isn't an issue like with the others. lol

Well, I got my mod box all ready to go and madvapes sent me the wrong atty. :( Oh well, I called and they are shipping one out to me at no extra cost so I'm ok on that issue. I really wanted to test out my mod though so I ordered another one and did overnight shipping since I really wanted to see if this is for me. I decided to use the 801 with an adapter to the 901 connection on my bigger 4AA mod and it's vaping quite nicely. I think this may be for me after all! I'm loving the vapor and flavor production I'm getting and I'm gonna start experimenting with tanks and other delivery systems to see what suits me best. My next mod will definitely be bottle fed since I don't know if dripping is really for me but again, I'm just gonna play with my options to see what feels best to me.

When I get home tonight, I'm gonna finish my 4AAA mod to see how I like that one with a 901 atty since it's probably a good "on the go" mod to carry around and make the 4AA mod something for the house and the Blu I'll keep as a backup. I have been refilling the blu carts so I'll most likely continue to do so if I ever feel the need to step away from my mods for a quick vape session.
