Hello, I am brand new to this.....I really want to quit smoking but I enjoy it so I thought this would be the way to go. I am very excited about it but have alot of questions.....especially now that I found this site and have started using my Halo G6. Does anyone have any suggestions or opinions on the G6.....good or bad?? I just started using it today and so far it is okay, tried 2 flavors of the six that I got with it. I guess my main question right now is I was smoking Marlboro Ultra light want to make sure I am getting my nic fix without over doing it. The e-juice I got from Halo is 6mg and came in 7ml bottles. I am not sure if this is strong enough or how to make sure I am not over doing it. Also how many drops does it take to fill up a cartomizer?? All is said in the instructions was .75ml but how am I supposed to measure it out of the drip bottles?? Also I have seen alot of post about 808 and 510 what is all this about? I am not sure what I have but I am trying to learn as much as I can. I hope I don't bother anyone cuz I will probley have a ton more questions as the days go on. Thanks everyone!!

Hi there,

I'd suggest you pick up some juices in 12mg as well, in case it turns out 6mg doesn't cut it. You never can tell -- I wasn't a heavy smoker, but it took me 18mg to get me off my cravings. It depends from person to person.

As far as filling cartos goes, it's probably about 20 drops. What I do is hold the carto at a 45 degree angle and drip into the filler while slowly rotating it, so everything gets saturated. After a couple of drops come out the bottom, I leave it upright for 5-10 minutes to let the juice soak in good, then vape it.

Don't worry about asking questions, this forum seems to be much less of a RTFM or Let Me Google That For You kind of a place than other forums. (Also, new members need to get their initial 5 posts somehow.)

Your body will tell you if you are overdoing when you start getting nicotine overdose, ie headaches and/or nausea. If you are finding that you are using your e-cig a lot more than you smoked and still not getting headaches/nausea, it may mean you need to up your nicotine dosage.

Sweeny Todd's method of filling till juice falls out the bottom is a good one, although I've heard that you should blow through the connector end afterwards to make sure the airway is clear and juice doesn't get on the battery. Personally, I'd just drip enough to where the filler looks pretty damp (ie, not dry and white) before letting it sit the 5-10 minutes. Also, you can put one of the rubber end caps over the connector end if you want to keep it a little less messy. Just make sure that the connector ends of the cartomizer and the battery are dry before using!

I was smoking 1mg ciggs and started out with 6mg prefilled cartos, they were not strong enough for me, i am now happy at 12mg.

Those little cartos you have will take about 15 drops on the 1st fill, then about 10 each time you refill.

510 is the size of the thread (part you screw into another part) 510 is probably the most popular because there are so many differant things you can interchange with the 1 battery. If you feel like the mini ecig you have at the moment could do with an upgrade, definatly look into the 510 models like the eGo.

Thank you all for your comments, it was all very helpful. I think I will up the nicotine to 12mg to help cuz I am finding that I still want an anolog cig. Also do you all have any suggestions on good e liquids? I find I do like the halo prime 15 but I love sweet stuff too. Any good places to get some great sweet e liquids at a good price? Thanks everyone!

Welcome to the org. The G6 is one of the V2 KR808 kits such as the Bloog, Volt, and Smooves. Which are amongst the most popular KR808 kits. They perform very well and all use horizontal coil cartomizers.

As with juice, it depends on how much you smoked a day. I would say definitely step it up to at least 12mg if you smoked about half a pack a day. If you did a full pack of lights. Then 18mg will be plenty. You have to remember that with vaping. We don't absorb as much nicotine compared to cigs. That had additives/chemicals that enhance nic absorption and strength.

Hope that helps.

If you have some 6mg juice, get some in 18mg. You can vape it and see if it's too much and if it is, you can dilute the 6mg into it at 50/50 to make 12mg. As a former camel light smoker I needed 18. I had 24 for those rough times. 18 was my daily and sometimes I would pump it up with 24. I soon bought double of stuff I liked in both 12mg and 24mg so I could mix it to 18 and leave some separate for days I needed more and days I wanted to try to ween myself down.

I started with the G6 and still use it on occasion for a flavor break (and t use up those 808 caromizers). I like the Halo and and I LOVE their liquids though they are definitely on the top end of the price scale.

I was a pack a day Marlboro red smoker. Started out with about 20 of the high octane preflled Tribecca cartos. That got me over the hump and got their tobacco sampler and a 30 ml bottle of Tribecca at 18 mg for the second phase. The next order I dropped down to 12 and that's where I've been for a month.

That said, I got my mom started about the same time and she was an ultra light smoker and shes still at 18 mg.

YMMV
