Hi there! This is my first post. I have tried to read most of the threads about the e-cig. But, to be honest, there are too many for me.lol So I thought I'd just throw all my questions in this hello post. Hello:D

I just ordered my DSE-901 Electronic E-Cig from online4u on ebay. I am clueless to how this all works. I just know that I can't afford to smoke anymore and it's killing my breathing. My kit says it comes with:
1 Atomiser
2 batteries
1 Car Charger
1 240V UK 3 pin Charger (don't know what that is exactly)
1 English Manual
30 Cartridges (5x high)

The seller told me they were out of stock of Marlboros, so they are sending tobacco instead.

Did I do this right? i'm reading alot of stuff about needing extra stuff. This is suppose to help me save money I thought. Are these regular batteries I can just buy at a store? What is the USB thing I keep reading about? I thought I researched it pretty good. I guess I'm finding out now that I didn't.

Any info you can give me would really be a great help to me. Thank you for allowing me to join your Forum.:)

That's the charger for the battery. Do you have a link to the kit? Based off this description, you will need an adapter to use the charger in the house.
Wow, i didn't know I would need an adapter. I want to be able to use it mainly in the house. Well, this bites. I got it off ebay. I can't post a link because I'm new it said. The site won't let me copy/paste it either. I gave you all the description it told me. I hope that helps. Where do I get this adapter? Also, will I need this USB thing and what is that for? Sorry for all the questions. BTW, THANKS!! for being so helpful.:)

hey puff, how much did u pay? my advice is buy another batt and atomizer at the LEAST! get u some juice (its cheaper then buying carts). and DON'T BUY FROM EBAY ANY MORE! find a sponsor or two from this forum. totally wicked is my choice, they got the best customer service i have come across. and their juice is the best. IMO
Hi there! Thanks for the advice. All total in US dollars it was 45 and change. I thought 30 cartridges was a deal. Actually, I don't know anything; I watched videos how they work, but that was it. I was so fricken excited by there being such a product, I just went for it.LOL I smoke a pack a day of Sonoma 100's. I used to smoke Marlboro 100's but they are so stinking expensive. Now the Sonoma's are outrageous. Basically, my question is this: What do I need to make this a success if I smoke a pack a day of regular cigarettes? I don't know what each part actually does. The atomizer, battery, charger, usb port, cartridges, etc.LOL Can you tell I'm really winging it here?lol

It's not a big deal, you just need a UK to US plug adapter. I have some, but I didn't buy them. You can probably pick one up at the store. Electronics store maybe. Like this Amazon.com: All in One Universal Travel Power Adapter for US, UK, EU, AU: Everything Else

The USB passthrough is for someone who doesn't want to use the actual e-cig battery for power. Basically it looks like and screws in like your battery, but it has a cord coming out of the end that you can plug into an alternate power source. USB port, hub, portable USB power pack, AC or DC adapters to plug into the wall or cigarette lighter. Not necessary, but sometimes nice to have.

Puff what part of ny u from? U can get an adaptor from radio shack. Although there are a lot of different types of ecigs out there, any one IMO is better then analogs. I've been vapeing for three weeks now after smoking a pack a day of newports for ten years and I will never go back. I tried a cig the other day and nearly choked to death after two pulls. Plus the taste of red bull or pineapple or peach or mint...... Is so much better. Good luck with yours.

I'm from the Northeast. I will definitely go to Radio Shack. I purchase the DSE901 I think it is. Do you know where I can get this USB adapter, automizer and liquid? LOL, I didn't know there was so much I will need. Do you know the prices of this stuff? Thanks again!:)

If you're really committed to ecigs - without trying them yet ;) - I would advise that you get another 901 kit from a US seller... either a dual atomizer kit, or a regular kit plus one more atomizer, and a bottle or two of juice. To go a step further, optionally, you can get a USB passthrough battery also.

The biggest issue right now is stock.... you can find out who has what in stock better if you check the Supplier sections of the forum.

I couldn't find an ebay ecig seller named online4u. ??

Glad you are more comfortable after seeing the vids. :)

Trapped within my imagination
Hi Puff, I agree with Jamie that you should eventually get a kit from one of the suppliers..That way everything you'll need will be on that site..After you learn what parts interchange with the model you have ect. you can start jumping arond (I'm new too, I know it's confusing.. just keep reading lol)..
It's not imperative that you have any of the USB things to start vaping asap.. Lets see if I get all this right, anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.....USB Charger (plugs into your comp/xbox- uses that power instead of killing your battery) USB Pass thru - now that's kind of cool to have..You can buy a lil Ipod charger and hook your pass thru into it and stick it all in your purse or wherever ( no need to plug in anywhere, its power on the go)-- you can purchase one at PureSmoker.com "product link is at the bottom of the page for that"---anyone know if you can buy these like at radio shack or bestbuys?..Car charger - plugs into your cig lighter using that power to vape instead of draining your battery... These are all "extras" that are available..
For now I'd do what someone suggested, buy an extra battery and one or two extra atomizers and some e-liquid (I think you said you had the 901 series so just make sure the battery/atomizer you get is for that series and get a color that maches the e- cig you are getting, unless you like to be really different lol)... E-liquid - you can use the bottled e-liquid to refill the 30 carts you have coming ( either by refilling- topping off - or dripping) thats way less expensive..You can use e- liquid from any supplier on any model...You should know from the carts you're getting whether you'll need to go up or down in nicotene strength or if you want to eventually go High strngth and learn to cut it down ( saves more money)...And as someone mentioned, start collecting links to suppliers and periodically checking the sites, because they usually run out of e-liquid fast...
I know this sounds like it could get really expensive..But right now you are just getting set up..After that youll only need to replace an occasional battery/atomizer and your e-liquid..Add USB chargers, lil cases ect when you want...With analogs/cigs skyrocketing in price..Trust me, this is the way to go.... Have fun!.....Razor/Ivy USA

WOW! Thanks for all of the info. I'm trying to figure out the best place to get all of this stuff that I'm going to need. I'm starting to get really confused looking at all these threads. LOL I'm forgetting what my starter kit comes with.lol I also have to figure out how to come up with the money for it and get it ordered before my starter kit gets here. Don't want to risk having issues. About how much is all this stuff going to cost me? So let's see if I have all of this right. This is what I'm going to need:

2 extra atomizers for my DSE901
2 extra batteries
liquid, (I think they are sending me the tobacco, high).
USB Charger (I think this is for the batteries, right?)
USB Passthrough. I can see myself really needing that.
Adapter to plug into charger for the batteries, (I think?)
Battery charger (I think)?

I don't know if the 30 cartridges they are sending me are already filled or not. Man, I feel really stupid not knowing all of this stuff. I didn't think there was this much to it. Thought it was just a matter of ordering it and whammo! Thanks everybody for all of the help.:)

Ok, forgive me for posting so many times. I think I've got it now.

I purchased the DSE901 E-Cig (photo of it is white like a analog). LOL, I'm learning the lingo already.:)
The kit comes with a 240V UK 3 pin charger. This is for the batteries I believe. So, I will need to get an adapter for it. I'm told I should be able to find that at my local Radio Shack. No problem there. The description of the 30 extra cartridges say 5x high, so I am assuming they are pre-filled). I will still need "juice". Best place to get it and how much does a bottle cost? I should also purchase a couple extra atomisers that are compatible with my DSE901 and a couple xtra batteries also. Again, where's the best place and how much are they? I really am going to need this USB passthrough too. I work online and that is where most of my time is spent smoking. So I guess all I really need to know is where's the best place to get all this stuff? There seem to be so many suppliers to look through. Can a veteran around here point me in the right direction? I can't say thank you enough for putting up with all of my dumb questions.:)

dont buy an adapter....change the adapter cord....you can find those cords at a dollar or thrift store....wait to get the kit and you will see you can just buy the cord
Thanks for the advice, but I can't see myself changing the cord. I am totally clueless when it comes to that kind of stuff. Can't you tell?LOL
