Newbie with Questions/Problems

I purchased some Blu-Cigs for my Grandmother, and she's having some problems with them.
First, everything worked fine for the first couple of days, and then the product seemed to stop working. Everything is all charged up, as the blue lights come on, but when inhaled, nothing comes out of the product. New flavor cartridges have been tried, as well as the second battery, and nothing works. I don't understand what could be wrong with it. Any ideas?
Second, even when not being used, the blue light on the tip of the battery seems to come on at the SLIGHTEST bump or movement. Is this decreasing the battery life?
Should I have purchased her Blu-Cigs, or gone with something else?
Provided we get the problems worked out and she keeps them, any tips to make the experience more like smoking? She smokes regular cigs because she's addicted, but also because she's bored. Normally, during the week, she smokes less than a pack a day. She goes up to her boyfriend's house during the weekend, and I just found out she smokes about 2 packs a day up there because there isn't much to do. I know the directions say the ecigs shouldn't be smoked like regular cigs.

The light turning on upon slight movement is a malfunction of the sensor that automatically detects when it's being pulled. This is one of the reasons that people like getting e-cigs that are manually switched on.

It sounds like it could be a messed up atomizer (the part that creates the vapor out of carts/liquid). Doubly so if she's been smoking it like a regular cigarette - atomizers get hot, and then they need to rest for just 2-3 minutes. If they're overheated on a consistent basis, they'll die out.

I'm kind of new myself, so perhaps others will have more to say on this. Blu is new & rather unknown, so unfortunately there's not a comprehensive amount of information out there on them. Some e-cig suppliers/manufacturers are very generous with replacements when the parts die early - again, not sure about Blu though.

What would be recommended for her? What would be best is something that would pretty much be like smoking (Just with the benefits of e-cigs)? Also, battery life is a concern, as is flavor. Not different flavors, but from what I'm reading, there seems to be some "Burning" flavor sometimes with some models. Also, if I'm reading right, I guess some of the liguid sometimes drips into the mouth? This is NOT an option.

There may be a couple options, I'm new; but did my research. One option is the Nebula from VaporNine (currently has a 20% off sale). This uses a 2 piece system where the atomizer and Cart are a single piece. This, in a way, makes the atty disposable. So, once the "cartomizer" is out of juice, grandma could simply throw it away and start a new one. Although, there is a more efficient thing to do; which would be to add a couple drops of juice and refill the cart. Many other types of e-cigs are refillable, but from what I can tell the Nebula is the easiest.
The 510 is also an option, a manual is offered where you push a button when inhaling. This is less like a cig, but offers more control and has been well received. 510 also has a PCC (the charging case) that can be purchased separately; and will help with battery life (seems battery life doesnt seem to be great, but not horrible either). AltSmoke is an excellent vendor for this product. Rob is a great guy!!!
Skyrl offers an 84mm, which is closer to the size of a real cig; much like the Blu. The product seems to be well reviewed, but you may want to dig a little more if you think you want to go this route. My only concern is that the smaller the e-cig gets **generally** the worse the battery life. I am unsure if the Skyrl unit comes with a PCC, but atleast with the 510 you can always have the extra battery charged while on the go.
Look into the 402 (401); also a smaller e-cig, remember about the battery life.

The problem with grandma's Blu does seem to be the atomizer; if it went bad, the unit is unable to heat and turn the liquid into a vapor. I've heard of a few people whose Blu atty only lasted a little over a week. Quality for Blu seems to be too hit or miss for my liking, plus the viral marketing has become quite annoying. Maybe I'd revisit their product if they get their act together and offer greater quality control.

Hope this helps.
