Hello , I'm new here and an all around newbie to vaping I recently upgraded to a sub ohm tank any tips ?

Go with low nicotine, sub-ohm amplifies the throat hit quite a lot. Don't let your coil get dry, and try out temperature control if you can... it's awesome.

Thank you , its on 32.0 right now and I have it all the way open. If I mix a 60/40 and a 50/50 is it going to be really harsh?

32mg nicotine?.. dang, the heavy hitters can barely handle 12m... most usually go down to 3 or 6 mg. I find it rough at 3 (depending on liquid), over that and it chokes me.

For the settings for watts and such, that depends on the tank and coil. I use temp. control and have it at 45W and 510F. If you do go with temp control, note that you do have to adjust depending on liquids. Some do better at lower, others at higher. I tend to go with 50/50 to have a balance.

What subohm tank?

There are HUGE differences in the tanks available. Also the use of manufacturers vs DIY coils makes a big difference. Even on the same tank a difference in coil types could make a huge difference.

For example, on my Kangertech Subtank Mini I have the option of using OOC or SSOCC coils, in nichrome, Nickle, or stainless steel confguations. Nickle and Stainless Steel wire allows me to use Temperature Control while the Nichrome does not. The SSOCC coils can generally be run at higher wattage than the OCC coils, and temperature control works far better on the SSOCC coils than than the OCC coils.

OK, you should have no compatibility problems, then. I would recommend you stick with the .5Ω coils for right now. They come in regular resistance wire or Titanium. The first ones must be run in wattage mode. The Ti coils must be run in Temp Control-Ti mode. 32 watts should do you for either, but in TC mode you will also have to set the temperature.
It's brand new just came out a couple days before I bought it istick Pico sub ohm tank melo 3 mini its all eleaf brand

Uh okay? I'm not sure what any of that means

50/50 liquid is called hedging your bets! I'd not recommend over 70%VG in a tank, because it wicks slowly and will burn.

T

I respectably disagree.

I vape 80VG and higher only and never had a problem with wicking. Not even once. Not with my Kanger Toptank nor with my EHPro Bachelor.

I'm sure there are set-ups that do have a problem with thicker juice but your generalization is inaccurate ime.

Welcome to the forum!

Sounds like you have a lot of studying to do!

I'd start with the user manual that came with your device and then look up or ask here on the forum about anything you don't understand.

Using certain coils with the wrong settings on your device can possible be dangerous to your health and/or to that of others around you.

Also look in to battery safety a little please, 18650 batteries can make a big boom when treated wrong.

i like people from the Netherlands so much that i married one. But there's always one.

What 18650s go boom these days? You must be the only tank user to never have had wicking issues; there are pages and pages of forum space here dedicated to just that, ranging from RTAs like the Kayfun to just about anything else you can think of - and some of these threads have been running for years.

It's plain to me that they'd all benefit from your vast experience so that certain coils and wrong settings don't lead to instant death.
