I started out looking at the blu (the pretty pcc caught my eye, what can I say I like shiny things) then got super irritated and cancled my order when I recieved the juice and stuff I ordered to go with it before the people at blu had even processed my order. I ended up doing a lot of forum trolling and settled of the joye 510 because it was cheaper than the ego and I wasn't quite ready to shell out the extra cash not knowing for sure I would even end up using it. I liked the 510 but not the battery life.... I ordered my ego about a week later.
from what I've heard and read most of the really cheap ecigs out there pretty much suck. I haven't personally tried any of them, but people around here that I let try my 510 or ego are usually shocked after having tried the ones they sell at the quick shops here. I know what it's like to be strapped for cash, but I'm not sure buying a super cheap starter is a good idea. I'd hate for you to get something utterly horrible and be put off of e-cigs all together. so with price in mind what kind of range are you talking about?
there isn't a filter exactly but theres a filter looking part on some. there are several different kinds of e-cigs some are 2 piece (cartomizer, and battery) the cartomizers hold a filler for e-juice and the atomizer in one piece. You fill it with juice and screw it to the battery. Some are 3 piece (cartrige, atomizer, and battery) the atomizer screws onto the battery. You fill the cartridge with juice, and it attaches to the automizer. as of yet I haven't worn out a cartomizer, but I wouldn't think they would last as long as an atomizer simply because the filler would wear out before
the atomizer inside. That said I love my cartomizers anyway!
batteries can last anywhere from a hour to a day before recharging, general rule is the smaller the battery the shorter it lasts, and the shorter it lasts between charges the more you rechage it. the more you rechage it the sooner it needs to be replaced. I heard automatic batteries can get messed up by eliquid flooding them if you drip directly on your atomizer or overfill your carts. So I I was scared to try them and got manual batteries 1st (they have a little button you push instead of activation when you suck on it), and now I know I would totally flood them so it worker out well for me!
as for the liquid it's a lot cheaper to buy the liquid than the prefilled carts usually and not terribly hard to fill a cart or carto, though I've heard some are harder to fill than others. If she really likes it she can even get into making her own flavors (yay for playing mad scientist!)
How much would your mother care about the look of an e-cig? Would it bother her if it didnt look like a normal cig? How much does she usually smoke?
