I just started dripping with the Dark Horse. The way I was taught to do it was to take the cap off and to saturate the wicks directly. However I have seen and read about people that just drip through the wide bore drip tip. This seems like a much simpler less messy way to go about things. Do I need to drip directly onto the wicks, or does it even matter?

When I rewick I will put the ejuice directly on the cotton to get it saturated as quickly as possible to help avoid getting any initial dry hits. Once its saturated, I just drip into the drip tip.

I could just drip directly into the drip tip without pre soaking the coils after a rewick, but when I do it that way I find that its best if I wait a few minutes before taking my first hit to give my juice time to completely soak in. Dry hits suck.

Yeah keep dripping through... taking the cap off the DH is a pain in the ... with how the AFC ring is designed.

The heat in the coils will draw the juice right into the wicks. No need to aim or anything. Plop some juice and you're good.

What i'll do sometimes when my dripper is really dry is do a few drips... tap the fire button a few quick times without taking a hit to draw the juice toward the coils... few more drips and another 2-3 taps... good to go. It really speeds up wicking time.
