I have been using a aerotank mega with the upgraded heads and nautilus with bvc heads. I have had bad luck with the kanger heads and even worse luck with the bvc heads. It seems like half of them if not more have a funky or burnt taste regardless of where I get them and I end up throwing more away than I use. and yes I prime them right I add 5+ drops onto the head, fill up tank, let sit 10+ minutes, inhale strongly on the lowest airlow setting without hitting the button, then do that with the button.

Any recommendation for a adjustable airflow clearomizer with reliable heads? High wattage capable would be a plus.

You ever think about just switching to a rebuildable? I understand that you may not have the time/patience to learn the skill, but it eliminates the cost of buying coils and the gamble of quality with some coils... You could get some wick and wire and just teach yourself how to rebuild the pre-built heads too, but I'm sure you know that's an option and don't want to go that route.

Back when I used to use pre-built coils, I had pretty good luck with the Smok coils (specifically the T-Dux line), but they're more ego clearos and not built for high wattage. The VCT line is supposed to be pretty good too, but they're glass tanks.

Subtank? The prebuilts I used for it all seemed decent enough to me. I know it's a glass tank but it's pretty sturdy and it comes with a replacement (plus as a bonus you can get acrylic bell caps for it from FastTech... and it comes with a rebuildable if you could have a friend or someone at a shop rebuild for you.)
