Sounds like the battery has vented... no clue what battery that is or what charger that is. First sign of a bad battery or charger is the battery/charger getting hot. Basically what I'm getting at is your batteries and charger should go in the trash... buy yourself a good Efest 35 amp or Sony VTC 4 or 5. These are the best batteries for mech mods. The best chargers are Pila, Xtar and Nitecore. Nitecore being the cheapest one. Definitely trash that battery though

Edit: Googled the model of battery and that battery is a safe battery... the charger I'm unsure of. The battery is commonly known as the LG HE2. 18650 2500 mah and 20 amp (35 amp pulse) or the purple efest 35 amp

Edit 2: The charger is some kind of "sigelei charger". I'm gonna guess that this is the real culprit. I'd definitely not use it again and buy a reliable charger. If you have a way to check the voltage on the battery and check every inch of it... make sure it hasn't swollen or popped anywhere.

Ya that's a huge problem, it sounds like your battery is venting and it's extremely dangerous. Ventilate area and stay away. Unplug it if possible and dispose it of it in a legal way. Are you using a cheap charger or battery? Goto YouTube and search controlled explosion battery ultrafire. It will show you what a venting battery look like before it explodes and it exploding

Here's a quote from a member that had a problem with that charger last year-

Yeah, I got a single cell charger MTLC-0420-1000 with a Sigelei Zmax kit two weeks ago. It has a hot output of 4.2VDC @ 1000mA. It charges an IMR 18650 from 3.5V to 4.27V in a little over two hours. That's quick but there is no way I'm going to use it often with that terminating voltage. I'd rather have more charge cycles with the batteries.

I've got a bunch of cheap multi-stage single cell chargers YL-103A. I use these for batts in the 1000 mAh range. These are only 350mA output but they all terminate somewhere between 4.15V and 4.19V.

Thank you, everyone for the advice. The battery itself is fine, still out of the box as it was yesterday and performing like a champ. I'm guessing it was the cheap Sigelei charger that came with my first mod that's the culprit. I'm going to be picking up a new charger that WON'T blow up my house today to avoid... Well, blowing up my house. Thank you again!
