Welcome and glad you joined.
Might want to look a eleaf istick 30 w. mod. on You tube.
You can adjust wattage/volts which can control burning out your coils. Not sure if a pen style 2.2 has variable volts or watts.
I think your after getting the most flavor and clouds and at the same time saving your coils. You should be able to accomplish this with VW/VV.
What watts or volts are you currently using with 1.8 ohms?

First of all, I am going for stealth at work and around wife. She still thinks I'm doing something bad. So, i need to stay with the pen style. When I was using the 1.8, I had to keep the voltage turned way down in the 3 range. In the 4 range, after a long draw, it can get a hint of burning coil. Yuk! I can usually fix it by running some hot cinnamon through it. IV been at it four months without even 1 cig or a dip either. I love the flavor but want to settle with something I lkie before I go broke. I guess I'm trying to figure out what good are the hotter setting if my coil will just burn up.

Hello and welcome to the forum @Greenfish. Glad to have you here!:)

Have never heard of the V6. Who makes it?

You need a better tank to use higher voltage. Are you using a Kanger Protank (without adjustable airflow)?

4 solid month off of cigs and dip. Not a cloud shaser but do love the taste of a nice cloud.
I just got a v6 and love the way it feels. Need help on what coil I need to use. Currently using kakger 2.2 as I was burning the 1.8 out fairly fast. I need to stay with the pen style for stealth on the job and around the house.

Welcome to the forum. There are a lot of people that are friendly and helpful.

Why not dova little Google Fu and find where the department of vhealth decided vaping was 98% less damaging than smoking, then look up the writings of Dr Farsalinos (SP) research into vaping and show your wife that material.

There is also at least one hour long interview of Dr Farsalinos by You Tuber PBussardo. Then maybe you won't have to stealth vape around the house.

Will do..thanks!
She just thinks Im trading one bad and expensive habit for another. Being a non smoker, she just wont even try to understand. She knows I vape but does not like me to do it around her. I have to respect that.

Sorry its called X6.... still not sure of the maker. It must be generic. Its 1300 mah, 4" tall (without tank) and about 1" or a little larger in diameter. 3 voltage levels indicated by different color lights red, purple, and blue being the higher voltage at about 4v. Kind of molded to the hand and easy and pleasant to hold. I am talking about the battery by the way :0
Here is a pic of the X6:

Oh.. the X6 by Kamry.

The very same e-cig that got a lot of UK vapers into a rather large battle with some unscrupulous vendors.

Basically, it's a $20 battery. Some vendors (2013-2014) were importing them and charging $150 for a kit with a $10 tank.

We called them on it, they got cross. Nobody won really... except we did stop a lot of people buying them.

It's a nice battery, for what it is. I know some people who swear by them.
Just not $150-worth. :)

Thank you for the warm welcome!
I have only had mine a few days but so far am happy with it. It seems to be just right with the kanger 2.2 ohm coils I'm using. The coils are in a kanger mini with a large based air flow adjuster. I like the small tanks because they are stealthy and I tend to get board with the same juice. One tank tends to last just long enough then I'm ready for a change.

Do you re-wick the coils?
I mean, by "burning out" you mean when you get a burnt taste, or when the coil stops heating up altogether?
If it's the former, here's a link to a very easy and simple way to re-wick them:
Stop throwing away your protank coils
- you can buy a good stash of organic cotton for $/£ 1 - 2, it will last forever. The whole process takes only a few minutes, the flavour is MUCH better than with the stock silica wicks, and you can re-use the same coil a good few times so it will save you some money too.
That way you can have a squeaky new coil any time you change flavour.
I'm using 1.8 coils like that, they usually last several re-wicking (few weeks) before they die.

Congrats on the 4 months!! :)
