I'm getting the same thing. I just tell them I am more addicted to nicotine than they were and may be able to stop someday....In the meantime...just bite me

The "when are you going to quit that thing" guy... just start .....ing back at him about his addiction to caffeine or cheeseburgers or whatever. Don't let those .......s take and keep the 'moral high ground'. Everyone, EVERYONE, has some kind of vice, unless they're saints or nuns or something. Don't let them slap you without slapping them right back, and do NOT let these jack-wagons discourage you!!
The guy that asks, you still using that thing? Is a smoker also. I find the worst critics are the people who quit smoking cold turkey, and smokers who dont want to or cant quit smoking and too stubborn to try something new, like vaping. Oh well, so be it.lol
Just bounce back with, "Are you still paying asinine taxes for the 'priviledge' of killing yourself?"

You might also try educating him on e-cigarettes. It could just be that he doesn't understand exactly what you are doing. True some people do try to use them to quit smoking, but they are also a healthier alternative to smoking analog cigarettes. Just tell him all the benefits you're getting from using them over normal cigs.
to Hiram's point....in Ohio, the state tax is $1.25 p/pack....the federal tax is $1.01....Tell them to smoke on that for a while

I usually just respond with something like. I am still a smoker. I don't want to quit. I enjoy smoking, it's relaxing. Some people enjoy drinking good coffee or like fine wines or other such drinks. I'm just a smoker who switched his brand of smokes to one that doesn't have carcinogens, extra chemicals, or tar, doesn't mess with my breathing, identifies the level of nicotine I'm ingesting, and tastes way better than my old brand. After that they don't have much to say.
I tell them Nunya business. I find the elderly understand the benefits if pvs more than young people. I think I have converted some seniors just telling them about it. Seniors give me info on them as well. My grandma who caught hell quitting her pall mall non filters but finally quit never heard of them,but she was happy that I left tobacco alone. It was like she knew it was good almost instantly. I didn't even tell her it was vapor and she knew LOL.
I never wanted to quit just didn't want to die..I can have my cake and eat it too
