Newly found annoying questions

I would find that really annoying too. The only annoying question I've been asked is "when are you just going to quit the nicotine?"...(thankfully my friends have done their research) and my response is "when you start drinking your beer/wine without the alcohol." Nuff said.

The "when are you going to quit that thing" guy... just start .....ing back at him about his addiction to caffeine or cheeseburgers or whatever. Don't let those .......s take and keep the 'moral high ground'. Everyone, EVERYONE, has some kind of vice, unless they're saints or nuns or something. Don't let them slap you without slapping them right back, and do NOT let these jack-wagons discourage you!!

The funniest part of it is, when he's asking you still using that? Hes puffing on an analog. lol. funny but irritating none the less. He knows what it is, i talked to him about it before i even got it.haha

If you feel like he'll keep up the jab, just go for a reverse ambush. Ask him first:

I have a feeling that this is what the guy means when he is asking if you are still using "that thing". He is probably a bit interested in it. Just explain to him how well it works for you.

No need to get defensive or offensive.

As for the "Why don't you just quit cold turkey like I did" turkey.....well he has already made up his mind and doesn't want to be confused by the facts.

I like my turkey with ham, bacon, american & cheddar cheese, toasted on flatbread. A little mustard, a little mayo, salt & pepper.

Cold turkey would just piss me off.

One person has said to me that the only way to quit is cold turkey. I'm firm with him when I say, I did quit cold turkey!! From the first moment I started vaping I never had a cigarette after that

If I wanted to quit nicotine that would be a different story but I don't see myself eliminating tomatoes, potatoes, cauliflower, & eggplant out of my diet.

Most of my co-workers are very supportive, for the occaisonal idiot, just tell them

"Last time I quit cold turkey, I went postal and offed 3 co-workers, had to change jobs...."

I've noticed it's only those who still smoke cigarettes that use the BS line "quit cold turkey". They just lack the will power so instead of congratulating you, they want you to feel you are still in the same boat as them. Non smokers think what I did was the greatest thing I could do to better my health & the quality of life.

Exactly! I started smoking as a teen to loose weight. Went back to it after each of my kids were born (still kicks self on that one) but that is usually my response when I get that kind of remark. I like to smoke, didn't want to die from it and I sure as heck didn't want to trade smoking for a bigger .... In fact they usually just shut up when I say not only did I give up smokes, I actually dropped a few pounds when doing so!
Since there is so much crap in our food sources nowadays sometimes I just tell them I like putting things in my mouth and this is the ONLY thing that won't kill me! That really shuts them up.
