"Based on the results of this paper, not only do users become more aware of the vapor characteristics and smoking properties of e-cigarettes but also manufacturers of e-cigarettes will take notice of the functional inconsistencies of their products," he said.

I've obviously been doing it all wrong. When my vapor volume falls off, I add more liquid. And if that doesn't work, I change batteries. That's always done the trick for me. Now, thanks to this stunningly informative research I learn that I should have been sucking harder! :D

And I'm sure the engineers at Ruyan and Shenzen Joye Technology can't wait for their monthly issue of Nicotine and tobacco Research to be delivered so that they can look for product design tips. Hopefully they will not begin to confer so that their company's product can remain functionally consistent with others.

hu·bris (hy br s) also hy·bris (h -). n. Overbearing pride or presumption; arrogance

It would be nice if they knew what they were doing before they started these tests. It would be like me trying to test a car after putting the gasoline in the radiator. But I'll make sure and warn all the smoking machines.

I was trying to think of a comparison.

Yes! Well done.

In a weird, albeit annoying, way all these "flights of fantasy" studies actually end up making our position stronger. While it may be the case that a certain percentage of the general population will believe this tripe(for whatever reason) I think that percentage is low and you can bet that no Federal Judge will ever be swayed or impressed with these shoddy, junk science, "reaching for straws" attempts to produce "danger" out of thin air. It makes the opponents/antis look desparate and reckless in my opinion - the more ridiculous the better for us....I hope.

Kristin,
Thanks for mentioning Liberty Stix. I did a search, so now that you posted this, of course I am going to use it. I've been doing this for quite some time now and have been doing a pretty decent job thusfar. Of course I know I'm not your ideal perception of what a supplier should be, but consistently what I say always ends up being fact.

I need to mention my company's accomplishments because I don't have a huge internet presence. My sales are almost all in established retail outlets, nearly 1,000 now (maybe more if I had actual numbers from some of my wholesalers). So yes I HAVE to promote my company. I want the best for my customers and my accomplishments are a testament to this: Outlasting EVERY other company that was selling on Overstock.com (and my subsequent 5 star reviews), the best BBB rating in the industry (and accredited), the first prefilled American liquid cartridge, the first to have comprehensive testing from two different labs.... etc etc etc... but having media outlets randomly prop us up is also nice as well....and thanks to you I am now going to be able to use it....

I've done alot for the industry as a whole and I am very sorry that you aren't privy to it or that you simply don't agree with me.

Happy Vaping Kristen, and I wish you well with your accessories sales endeavors.

Sincerely,
Sebastian

I would have expected a savvy business person to use something like this. I just got a chuckle that it was a great plug for your business. I'm not sure why you are being so defensive? I didn't say anything negative about your company!

Kristin,
It just kinda sounded like a barb..... lol.... I mean read that over and tell me you wouldn't think someone was busting your chops. I'm not upset about it, I was just letting ya know it didn't go unnoticed ;). I will leave it at that. No big deal no harm done.

It is an appreciated plug though.... and with my limited internet presence, I'm hoping it helps out a bit.

We were trying to figure out how they concluded this, and I think it's our filling method. The filling machines we have are very precise, and very expensive. Programming them alone, and calibrating them for our cartridges, cost a couple thousand.

I wish more e-cig companies would take advantage of our filling capabilities, maybe it would help the industry. I've reached out and only 2 companies are being filled by LS as of yet. Hey who knows, maybe this will help open up some of their eyes. We have an inexpensive new machining plate making capability so start up costs are relatively low.

Sebastian,

It wasn't a barb so much as a nudge and a wink. ;)

You may think you know my "ideal perception" but you really don't. I have frequently defended brick-and-mortar companies as being important to exposing more smokers to e-cigarettes and even suggested to the CASAA board that we invite one to be on the board.

Maybe all of the negativity you see pointed at kiosk vendors has colored how you read things? I can see how that could happen.

My ideal perception of how vendors should be is influenced more about their involvement in advocacy/activism and less to do with business models. Too many are more concerned with making a quick buck than seeing how their behavior could affect tens of thousands of consumers who benefit from this product. Which camp you fit into, I honestly have no idea.

Sorry you took it the wrong way - I hope to also see your support of CASAA's efforts in the future! :)

SSROB,
I haven't advertised in well over a year. Word of mouth works just fine for me. You honestly think that the University of California is pumping out ads for e-cigs? Do you really have to put a negative spin on it? Come on now.

Kristin,
Yeah I am in ZERO kiosks (and yeah my experience hasn't been great when I walk up to them to hear their pitch). We're in Tobacco Shops, Durable Medical Supply Companies, Liquor Stores, Gas Stations, Pharmacies, Doctors Offices, Grocery Stores, Odor Removal Services, Party Stores, and Bars.

I will be a part of CASAA once I get these last few pieces of machinery for our factory. Doing everything in the US isn't easy, or cheap, and we are a very grass roots company... no big financing thrown our way... a little over 2 years ago we were working out of my basement. It has made my business model, not as a 'flash in the pan' type operation but as a sustainable operation, paramount to our existence.

We were also hurt heavily when we imported all of our electronic components etc. It's so nice not having to stay up til 5am to see if we got kicked back or held up.

SSROB,
Oh and yeah I'm linking to that all day long. See!!! I'm so not in tune with Internet marketing that I didn't even understand what you meant by 'link building'. I actually feel really gullible about this, but I'm gonna give everyone a laugh here. I actually, when I first read it, thought 'link building' was a vaping term for 'rotten in Denmark'. wow
