TBH, its difficult to regulate. PV can buy anywhere.
Juice needs to go through AVA for serious testing from multiple source.
Unless there is a local company working closely with AVA, H** etc, for juice safety and also mod safety,
And our only source will be from that particular company, it rather difficult.
That being said, our government is just lazy to do all these and go through legislation to come up with a proper way to tax the stuff.
Thus, ban.

Warning... Dun you ever underestimate our Gov..... They are not lazy, they are just too smart. Anything that is profitable, without much work our gov will guarantee take into consideration. They have long gone through this "E-cigg meeting" and the conclusion is to ban E-cigg.

E-cigg contain no tobacco which doesnt fall under the tobacco law = no 70% tax. Gov will not change any laws just for this E-cigg, furthermore the present tobacco company functioning in SG will jump. Take a look at the report and you will know why legislation of E-cigg will nv happen. Singapore - Tobacco Tax I SEATCA.org

Guys is math time!
If 70% tax revenue for 2011 is $749,689,922
Then 100% taxable value should be $1,070,985,602
a)What is the value for 7% tax of $1,070,985,60
b) Will you risk 70% over 7% and edit laws for it?

Exactly. The govt is smart, BUT they think the people are stupid. but at the end of they day, it all boils down to money. They never truly cared about the citizens. All they care about is money.

look at it this way.. they will never support vaping as they never support green vehicles.. all for show only.. never mind whatever studies or research that support vaping. They run the largest non-oil productions refinery in the world, pharmaceutical and many MNC companies have also invested heavily here.. all US companies. so they will also do what they do.. when it comes to matters like this, they will always wait and see, and follow the US.. if US dun support, then neither will them.
so if one fine day the US support vaping, then they will follow suit. saying things oh they have done their studies for years on the health benefits of vaping compared to tobacco smoking.. blah blah blah.. its just politics..
in the meantime, just do what we do.. quietly, and hope they dun bother us too much :)

This kind of raid had happened several times before, and that resulted in our subforum's stiff rules to protect the community. Hxx will probably contact the customers who had purchased from the busted source if they haven't done so. They need all the statements and signatures.

The same thing will repeat again months later, just wait and see.

It is tough for local vapers, but don't give in to cancer sticks. Just vape safe.
