Next Best Thing to Building?

I know the high-end of this community is building wicks, building coils, etc. I plan to get into that more someday, but I feel unless I have some sort of at least backup setup where I can mindlessly throw in a new prebuilt coil, screw together and vape that it will be too hard to completely quit when life starts moving fast.

So what is the best reasonably priced kit that gives you this kind of "turn-key" setup? Preferably one that doesn't leak!

I have a Vamo V2 and a Zmax V5 mods as background info...

Thank you in advance!

Cartotanks have given me the next best flavor. I prefer the ones over at IBTanked. Go to the complete tank section, and they walk you through everything you will need for a cartotank. Make sure you don't skip out on the cartotank filling tool. It makes refilling a breeze. They sell Boge and Smok prepunched cartos. Go for the Smok ones. They have flanges on the bottom to keep the tank from accidentally slipping (IBTanked ones don't slip much at all though) and the filler isn't packed as tightly, making it faster to prime the carto. I also found that they tend to last longer then the Boge. Depending on the juice, I've had cartos in a tank last me through a full 30 ml of liquid before needing to be changed.

I will go against the grain and say the anyvape davide glassomizer.

Coil heads are same as the Protank 2 ones (I gather), which can also be rebuilt if you ever feel like doing that, or you can just use them as disposables.

They are also not as big as the cartotanks and look fairly decent.

I have never heard of those, but you are right they look nice. Thank you for the info!!!

The new Kanger Aerotanks are very good. I have an Aerotank Mega that I am very happy with, and I ordered my wife an Aerotank mini. I did the cartotank thing for a while and stopped because I run thick juice and it wasn't quite what I wanted it to be.

I'm a full on rebuildable junkie, I run my Reo Grand with a Trident V2 modded for bottom feeding at .4 ohms.

Its a slight head turner in public =]

If you want to throw your money away buying heads, there are many to chose from.

I will chime in with support for carto tanks. I use IBTanked glass tanks and Smoktech plastic DCT tanks. The smaller Smoktech tanks are great on an ego sized batt for out and about. I like single coil 2 ohm cartos. The double coil ones that come in the Smoktech tanks are immediately thrown into the apocalypse stash and replaced with single coils.

People will tell you that you are “throwing money away” – I call BS on that – You can buy Kanger coils for $1.20 each and they can last anywhere from 2 days to 3 weeks depending on how you vape and the number of tanks you are running. A kanger coil (or any coil really, carto or clearo) cost about as much as 3 and a half cigarettes. I like the Prokank 2 with an aero base for single coils or the aerotank with the dual coils. I like the fact that you don’t lose any juice when you need to switch them out. Save them and rebuild someday if you want or don’t, but don’t feel like you have to rebuild to get a decent vape because it’s not the case at all. No – they don’t last forever but if they last a week that’s about 17 cents a day – big deal. - Now I gotta try an ibtanked after reading this thread:)

I'll chime in and agree on the aerotank and ibtanks. Didn't care for the standard protanks, my nautilus was good when it worked but what was par for the course with the nautilus was that I'd load a tank, put a new coil on and then 2 hours later it was either gurgling or something wasn't right. They were putting out a bunch of bad coils from what I hear. Out of a 5 pack, maybe 3 were good. Ibtanks were ALWAYS consistent with flavor and vape. The new aerotanks are what I used when traveling because I don't have to deal with building a coil on a vacation but can get a really good vape at the same time.

Can you buy Smok Cartos for an IBTANKED anywhere other than IBTANKED?

I have the pro tank mini 2 & 3. Both are great. Just got Aerotank Mini & Aerotank v2. My boyfriend & I haven't had any problems with them, yeah some coils last longer. The new ones do last longer & out of 5 so far, no duds. Only thing, the O rings come off really easy when rinsing so wash in a strainer! Haven't tried cartos, so can't comment on that.
