I'm loving e-smoking and I have a bunch of 901 "paraphernalia" as my DH calls it, lol. But I'm looking for recommendations of the next model to try. I guess I'd like to see something longer lasting, battery life and parts life-wise. More throat hit would be good. Actually, more vapor production is a more precise way to put it, I guess. But I'll settle for longer lasting over throat hit.

What do you recommend after the "starter" model?

Take a look at the Jantystick, Screwdriver, GG and Prodigy or make yourself a mod. With the exception of the Jantystick which uses penstyle atomisers and cigar batteries these devices will use your existing 901 atomisers and carts, give you much improved battery life, have inexpensive replacement batteries available and huge vapour. Could someone find the links!? Thankieees!

I believe these will work:

JantyStick: Janty USA
Screwdriver: ecigscrewdriver.com
GG: THE GG
Prodigy: PureSmoker.com - Your #1 Source For PV's, Parts, & Accessories!

Of the four, I believe I'm correct in saying the only one currently available right this very second is the Screwdriver, although Janty (JantyStick) will be shipping this month, and I believe PureSmoker (Prodigy) is close behind. I have no idea about GG.

I have a Screwdriver and really like it. However, I think that if I were ordering right now and wanted something comparable in terms of power and battery life, I'd probably be ordering the Prodigy since I live in the USA--faster and cheaper shipping if problems arise.

I personally am excited about the JantyStick, but that's primarily because I love the look of it and I've really enjoyed my Janty products. I will say, however, that the Prodigy appears more versatile since you will be able to purchase adaptors to use it with various types of atomizers.

All of these options, however, take you a step away from the "traditional" look and feel of e-cigs. For me, that isn't a problem. In fact, I like the idea of distancing ourselves from our toxic cousin, the tobacco cigarette. But if you're still not quite convinced you're ready to walk on the wild side, perhaps you might be interested in a penstyle with a manual switch. I have the Janty Kissbox, which I enjoy, although I believe there are some generic 801s out there with a manual switch.

You might also like a 510-C. I have the Dura-C (basically, the 510-C), and I love it for a powerful, somewhat harsher vapor. The only downside for me is that the batteries don't seem to last as long as I'd like.

I strongly agree that your next PV should be a manual switch and bigger batteries means much less hassle and you also save money on the cost of batteries and you can get them anywhere. ($3 instead of $15-$20) I have the Screwdriver and have ordered the Prodigy.

Another option is the Zi Moshi or LV. Here is the link:

People who have the Zi Moshi seem to really like it. However, I am going to hold off recommending it right now simply because the owner is having a hard time making enough models to meet the demand and because he's going to be out of town for a little bit better than 2 months starting in June and won't have access to e-mail.

But I've got the feeling that when he finishes his mission work in August and ramps up production, well, I think it will really take off if the early reports are anything to judge by.

but if your worried about there being to big a jump from the 901 ... try the janty dura-c .not a million miles away from the 901 but loooads better .. manual batteries ... great warranty ... big carts .... small ish ... and now you can get a passthrough .. great throat hit but i will say the batteries are the longest lasting but they perfom fantasically hence you only get around 2 hours of continual vaping time ... i treid 5 differnt models but i havent bought another e cig (unless you count the second kit ) since .. and you can put the 901 carts on if you prefer the shape of it

I agree with some of the above forum members that you should seriously consider a GG, Screwdriver, Zi Moshi, Prodigy or other such device. If you ar a DIY person, you can build an outstanding extended life battery pack that can be used with 901 or 801 atomizers that will be miles and miles better than the average e-cig from China. If I knew then what I do now, I would definitely be shelling out cash for the many manual switch, custom devices currently available.

If your still reading this thread Confetti lol
GG's, SD's and any other mod listed above is Great.
But if you feel that you just want to keep with the
cigarette style and just looking for an enhanced 901

Cheifs right, Just grab yourself a 510/Dura/Yeti/Titan
and some other 5th thing lol (had to do it) and you'll enjoy it very much.
Keep in mind that some different models come with a manual button
and can be disheartening to some, but needed in some cases. Because an auto battery can easily be activated by air pressure from the front.
Good luck, you'll make the right decision in whatever you choose. ;)

I too have a dse-901b,but also a Vapor King. The one thing i never really got from the forums was the pain in the ... switches on these 901 batteries ;). Anyway my girlfriend got the VaporKing from Vapor4Life(so i could get a newer toy) and i had the same decisions you did. I chose the Prodigy, basically it had more choices in adapters, atomizers and cartridges than any other model readily available. Has incredible SEALED battery life, a 6 month warranty, is usa made(sans the atty's at present),a manual switch, from a company with a good reputation on the forums. It really will save you money and issues that the others almost inevitiably bring. My 2 cents.
