For unhappy reasons my favorite hardware platform, that of MMV is no longer able to provide the quality equipment I have from them. I really really love their stuff, but sadly it's disappearing and parts have all but vanished. I have a lot of their stuff, and a lot of parts for it, but it's time to look down the road for the next old school mech platform. It has to be made in Greece by Greeks, because Poldiac.

After much thought I find myself looking at the GG. It's too early yet to say what I'll get in that way, but I seem to have focused on that hardware platform. It's made in Greece, by Greeks. So were my Poldiacs. I love my Poldiacs! Those Greeks make some pretty fine mechs, with the exception of the Roller (ptui!), and given the reputation of the GG on here my attention has been drawn to it and it looks like quality stuff. I'm thinking Estergion. Top/side button I love so much on the Poldiac, and well known build quality. I'm poor right now being it's the off-season here, but come Fall I think I'll prolly get my first GG.

Just sayin....

I've never used a GG, mostly because I don't like the pinky button sticking out from the bottom of the mod. I know that you like side buttons, so maybe they appeal to you.

My favorite modder is Vapourart and I personally think that the GP series mods are the best mechanical mods available (YMMV). I wouldn't go so far as to call it a "platform", but they are Greek mods (with a presence in Bulgaria) and they have top notch customer service. They employ a minimalist design that appeals to me and if you like bottom button switches (which you may not if my memory is correct) many will argue that they're the best on the market. I don't think that many people get excited about top caps, but I love using the GPin and not worrying about adjusting screws to accommodate for different batteries and atomizers.

There are Vapourart forums here on ECF and Perseas (one of the owners I believe) is regularly available to answer questions and give updates. I really appreciate being able to quickly correspond with and get help if needed directly from the source as opposed to some faceless company who refuses to respond to emails.
