So I've been doing a lot of research on clones, and trying to decide which to get, obviously I'd like to get an authentic but well, I can't afford it. I'm between the stingray clone by infinite (possibly the new red copper design) a nemmy clone or a Hanna clone. I'm leaning towards one of the mehcs because I currently use a VTR and I'm not sure how well the Hanna clone is vs a mech, I like big clouds but not really a cloud chaser yet. I don't have a lot of hardware just a PT2 and an igo w, I rebuild coils for my PT2 all the time so building coils doesn't concern me. I also would like input on which atty (clones are again preferred). I do plan on ordering a couple vtc5's and an aerotank base when I do make my final order... Thoughts? Advice?

It really depends on what you want to do. You can't go wrong with a Nemesis or a Stingray if you want a clone mech. I don't know much about the Hana clone. I would get the real deal myself. Get a good atty you can build daul coils in......there are so many choices. The Igo W you have is very popular. I have a magma clone that is great for flavor and clouds IMO. I would look on youtube and watch a bunch of reviews and search the forums here for what other people use. Everyone has their favorites. Good luck making a choice with all the options out there.

I just made the step myself OP. I went with the 4nine copper clone and a Quasar. I'm not happy with the quasar at all and plan on getting the Tobh for it insted. I'm thinking the black will look nice with copper.

I'm vaping my first sub ohm build right now! : D

Stingray's and Nemesis' are great clonesl. HCigar makes the best nemesis and Infinite makes a great Red copper Stingray. I myself own the HCigar Nemesis and a Stingray clone. The Stingray hits MUCH harder than the nemesis does. I currently am waiting on a Vapetech Pegasus clone I ordered... which has a 0.08 voltage drop with a 1 ohm load (according to vapingwithtwisted420). My RDA's I have are Stillare clone, Crown Clone, Tobh Clone... the Tobh has best flavor... Crown best vapor (but is 21 mm device so doesn't look as good)... right now I'm using the stillare on my stingray and tobh on my nemesis. The stillare provides good flavor and good vapor. Tobh is excellent flavor and decent vapor. Crown is decent flavor and excellent vapor. For my RTA's I have Fogger v4 (with larger deck), Russian 91% and Kayfun 3.1 clone. I love the fogger v4 but it can be a real pain in the ... to get to wick properly. The Russian 91% is quite nice too and provides good flavor. The Kayfun 3.1 is one of the best... the only real gripe I have about it is the fact that I filled it with the fillport and the little plastic bottle that came with it... the needle tip on the bottle split after about a month so I have no way to refill it unless I buy some more bottles with some 18gauge plastic tips.

My normal daily setup for mechs is my stingray with my stillare RDA... I also own a vtr which currently has my fogger on it... I reach for it occasionally but its not as great as my stingray :D. And only batteries I use for my mech mods are sony VTC4/5. I have 4 VTC5 and 2 VTC4's.

Hope this helps a little bit!

Thanks for all the info, I've been watching reviews by Twisted, Rip, GrimmGreen, Ruby Roo, Presario, and IndoorSmokers. Rip first got me interested but I don't like him so much lately.
Now I've ordered a cana modz from elev8vape and waiting, with it I got the Stillaire v2 clone and 2 of the Efest 35A batteries and a wide bore drip tip. In a couple weeks I'm planning on buying the Sage mod, all brass, magnetic switch, looks real nice.
In the mean time I've been dripping exclusively with my Igo-w (holes drilled out, but going to drill to 1/16 or maybe 2 more 5/32 off at a 45° angle) @1.5 ohm single coil , 6v which is ~22w w/ some MM (man that juice is delicious! Any other stellar custards like MM?) and man.... It's awesome!

Congrats on purchasing your first mech mod! I'm sure you'll be very happy with and there is an owners group here on ECF to help you with any questions you might have, or to just share the love.

Your opening post says you're wanting an authentic, but can only afford a clone. Tonight I ran across the SAGE by Beyond Vape. I'm too late to fill you in, but others will be reading the thread & they might be interested, so I'll share. It is an authentic, USA designed, mod for under $100.00. (89). The designer has chosen to offer a top notch mod, at almost clone prices, by their own CnC'd company in China to do their CDC work on this particular mod. (Their other mods are CnC'd here in the USA, which of course costs more to do). The money you spend goes to the USA creator, instead of bypassing the creator altogether like what happens when buying clones. It is not a clone, it is authentic.
Here is the website, with a video review by SuckMyMod.
Beyond Vape Sage Mod Brass Polished [bv-sage-brs-pol] - $89.00 : Beyond Vape, premium vaporizers and e-cigarettes
There is a brass one and a SS one. Matt says they're perfect for first time users as well as for experts, & it is crafted beautifully.
Oh cool! I just found an interview of Beyond Vape and the owner(?) discusses all this and more.
