February is rolling in and my vape budget is going to be back - this last month I took the plunge and got my first mech and rda's, and though there were a few hiccups I'm now extremely pleased with the vape I'm getting. Now I'm looking into a second setup, my first being a Stingray X and Magma. I'm going to get a few more rda's (notably a Marquis clone, and depending on what I spend on a mech, a Freakshow), but I'm looking for a mech that will fit the criteria I need. I COULD just get another stingray x, but I'm hoping someone will have a suggestion for something else as I like variety.

What I want in a mech:
1: Top cap design. I prefer these to all of the hybrids that are out now.
2: Adjustable or floating 510 pin.
3: Stock magnetic switch. I don't mind locking rings or recessed switch, either is fine.
4: I'd like stainless steel threading on the 510 connection for durability for my second mech, but this isn't a must, I can be careful as I am with the Stingray's copper threads.
5: Not a must, but a bonus would be modular (18350/18500/18650 like the Stingray X) or telescopic. Not a dealbreaker though, a straight 18650 tube is fine.
6: Clone. I'm not interested in spending more than 30$-40$, and would rather spend 20$ or less.

I haven't had to do anything to my Stingray X since I took it out of the box. It came clean, switch has smoothed out over time, all of my batteries work well with no rattle, threads are smooth, etc. I want another clone that will work great out of the box. A lot to ask, I know.

Any suggestions? I'm loving the look and features of the HC Windrose, but not sure about the 510 pins compared to a floating or adjustable.

There is no reason to buy mech mods anymore. They are going out of style because you don't need them anymore for low ohm and high wattage. Wattage controlled mods are far superior, longer battery run-time, and with the new Evolve DNA 40 - - - Why Buy A Mech Mod?

Why are you even posting in the mech mod forum? And there are plenty of reasons to buy mechs, just perhaps not reasons for YOU to buy a mech. I'm uncertain as to your motives here?! This is a thread about mech mods, not regulated mods.

Ummmm, this is actually the mechanical mod section where we discuss things about MECHANICAL MODS!! Apparently they aren't going out of style because you just posted in a forum solely dedicated to MECHANICAL MODS......

I settled on a copper Stingray. Thanks for the suggestions though! I figure I won't go wrong with something similar to what I already have (and already love). Also ordered a Stillare V2, which although is an older RDA, I think will look nice on top.

Hopefully a good choice!

I'll just say that I love my stillare, it never leaves my main mod. Pretty amazingly leak proof, with lots of airflow. The chuff enuff style topcap was a great addition to it. My mod looks a little silly with a copper body, stainless RDA and white drip tip, but works very well.
