Next rig, still new

Hay guys (and gals), I've tried vaping many times but finally got "the bug". The only problem is that my tank gets hot before I feel satisfied. I was told not to go higher on my nic. Is there a rig that won't set me back an arm and a leg that won't heat up so fast? Added notes, I've tried both high of and vg juices. And I'm using a subvod rig.

Thanks, I'm running 9mg and smoke 4-8 marb reds a day.

Hmmm.
My wife vapes 12mg/ml on a .9-1.Ω coil at about 16 watts. Your 9mg/ml on the .5Ω "should" scratch the itch.
The atomizer should get a bit warm, but it should not be to hot to touch.
A few more questions, if you don't mind.
How often do you vape and how many times do you refill per day?
Do you like the flavours you are vaping?
Do you feel the vape is lacking something? Density, flavour, volume?
How are you hitting it? Directly into your lungs or into your mouth and then inhale?
Have you compared your vaping technique with others using the same device on youtube or another video host?

I refill about once a day sometimes twice
I take in the lungs like a cig
I prefer the sweeter flavors
I guess volume, I fell like a can't take a long inhale like a reg cig. And maybe density, don't feel like much is coming in
I've tried long drags like a cig but feel like could are just burning up really quickly.
