Next step after Ego Twist

My current set up consists of two Ego twists. I also have several vision ce4, EVODS, protanks and mini protanks. I am trying to convert a coworker. He is considering purchasing my twists. Any recommendations of a good VV mod to start with? I heard about the I taste and vamo but not sure where to start. I would like to give him a few of my clearos to start with. If anyone could let me know which of the above are not great with mods I would appreciate it. Happy to be off analogs and trying to share this great healthier alternative with people! Thanks!

as for bigger battery variable Voltage/Wattage devices- Check out the Innokin MVP, Vamo or SID

I used the vamo for a good while before I moved into fiddling with mechanicals, and it still does an okay job of checking resistances for me.

Good luck!

PS: Bonus points to the Innokin iTaste MVP as it doesn't require you to buy external batteries or a charger. (Although this could also be viewed as a negative, for graduating from twists this might be the ballpark you want to get into.)

The iTaste 3.0 I presume, or the Vamo, are both excellent. I would get both. If you are referring to the MVP, I have to say it's outstanding, but....but, I have to have an Ohm meter in my VV devices, and it doesn't. Variable Power is nice, but I use a Provari about half the time, and it has an Ohm meter. My other devices (not the mechs) are all variable wattage and have the Ohm meters in them. If you don't have an Ohm meter, fine, you'll just need a multimeter to determine actual coil resistance. The aren't always as advertised. Variable wattage does much of the work for you, and that's why they are so popular. I have three Vamo's and prefer the Stainless Steel V3 from Fasttech. That is one nice APV. $58 for the kit. Great start. If you want to go a bit higher, I like the Sigelei V3/V5 telescoping APV. Very nice. My two favorites before going over $100. Best to you, happy shopping, good luck, Power up and Vape On!

I went from an eGo Twist to a Bolt. Then to a Provari. The Bolt is cheap, durable, light, and can be used with either an 18500 or 18650 battery. Or you can use it with an 18500 and a kick. It has 510 threading so you can still use your Protanks. I was using it with LR cartos, which still provided a great entry level mod vaping experience. Obviously it wasn't VV/VW, but the battery life was a big step up from the twist.

Sorry..can you elaborate on a "kick?" I appreciate all the helpful info!

I would recommend going straight to high-end mods. Research for a long time; decide whether you truly want VV or a mechanical mod. Find whatever mod you desire most, and buy it. You'll actually save money in the long run.

Everyone seems to upgrade in increments, and you'll end up spending a fortune on each new little device you buy. The money you've spent on all of those twists and clearomizers could have gotten you a Provari by now, if you just started with it. Seriously, ignore any recommendations for a cheap mod. You might like it at first, but eventually it'll break or you'll want something better. Save yourself the time and money.

its a personal preferences when it come choosing your pv's. after using ego's some people jumps to mechanical and some people starts to VV or VW.

I wholeheartedly agree with both of these posts.

If I could go back and do it all over again, I would've gone straight for a hybrid.

Here's my 2 cents.
Innokin iTaste MVP for the everyday...I hate fiddling with batteries, especially if I'm on the road to and from work. The battery life of the MPV goes pretty long..I use a Vision Vivi Nova on a 2.6-2.8ohm atty using 100% VG. Lasts me 2-4 days without the need to recharge. And the fact that everyone seems to drop their tube/ego batteris from leaving em on a table while mine just sits there (box mod) made my decision easier.

For something a bit more technical, I'd Joyetech eVic. The price on these went down considerably (Fron $140 down to bout $80), and so it stands that I shoud've gotten this first, but it is way larger than the MPV, and it just seems a bit lighter compared to it. A good alternative would be the ZMax that some people have been commenting on. But like I said, i hate fiddling with batteries of any size (18650, 18350, 14500 for my Matrix Telescopic), and I prefer a USB to charge my extra batteries while in the office or on the rad (have 1 USP power adaptors for my 12V sockets in my truck).

Good luck though...
