First post! I'm new to vaping but I would like to think that I am fairly educated as of right now as far as vaping goes. Currently I am using my eGo-T using a 2.8 drip tip atty and a 2.8 tank. So far I am loving my tank and atty and its been about 3 weeks since I turned from analogs.

I know that I will eventually stop using my eGo-T and will want to upgrade. I was wondering what would be the next step after using an eGo setup? At my local shop they do have lavatubes and considering thats the only other thing available outside of eGo's that is my only option as far as local purchases go. Would that be too big of a jump going from eGo? Also, how long should I expect for my eGo to completely die on me?

Welcome to the forum and Congrats on your first 3 weeks!

A Lavatube would be a good choice, it's relatively inexpensive and you would get a chance to play with variable voltage and see if you like it (I've never seen anyone say they didn't live variable voltage). Another alternative would be to go with a high end device like a Buzz Pro or a ProVari, they're built to last a long time.

eGo Battery lifetimes seem to vary from person to person, some have gotten a year out of theirs, I've noticed mine needing recharging more often after just a month. I always have two with me in case one completely fails.

Best of Luck with whatever you choose.

Hi G :)

I think alot of folks start to try new PV's after several step ups from whatever they started with..

But the EgO type device can be a portable, stable PV for you.

I have a VV Box mod at use at home , But still use my KgO while I am out.. and love it.

I cant see myself carrying around something that uses big batteries and is the diameter of a "D" cell. ( Thats my opinion only) ..

Good Luck, and Peace.

I am sure I will be corrected if I am wrong but I see the differences as:
Lavatube - Chinese made, excellent price for a VV device, build quality reflected by the price, lower amp output limit
BuzzPro - Better quality than the LT, manual voltage selection, smaller range of adjustment than the ProV
ProV - The best build quality I have seen, microprocessor controlled, huge voltage range selection and high amp output, it is what you pay the extra money for :)

I think a eGoT2 mod is a good step from a eGoT.

They take an 18650 battery, same as the bigger mods, and can run in eGo mode for 3.4V or unregulated for a full 4.2V with a fully charged battery. You also get almost 2 days between charges and I always have a spare battery in my bag and just swap them. They only cost $20 plus batteries but I had 18650s already.

On the left is my eGoT2 mod with a Smoktech 510 bridgeless atty and Ming drip tip, on the right is my eGo 1000mAh with a Boge carto and Ming drip tip. Same height, more voltage and more than twice the battery life.

I think this will be my route. I have an 3 Egos now, a Lavatube on order, and will probably have a Provari in the near future (when funds allow).
Hi,
my progression was from an Ego to a Lavtube and I think it is a good route to go to introduce you to VV.
However it was not long before I wanted the extra amps for my LR kit, so I ended up getting a Provari anyway :)
