My current setup is an ego twist with a kanger aerotank and tons of evod's. I'm not super happy with the amount of flavor I've been getting (I know a lot of that could just be the juices I'm using). I'm still experimenting with different juice brands and PG/VG ratios to find what I prefer best, but I'm thinking about upgrading my current setup.

My buddy was dripping on his rba mechanical mod the other day and let me try it. I was pretty blown away with the vapor production, and the flavor was WOW. I want that. I don't think I'm ready to jump into the RBA world quite yet though. While the clouds of vapor were cool, I'm far less concerned with that... flavor is what's important to me. If I could get that kind of flavor without having to build an RBA, that would be ideal. I don't know if that's possible though. That's why I need your help :)

What do you think my next step should be? I don't mind spending money on upgrading to a different VV battery, or trying mods, etc... I just don't think I'm quite ready to start building RBAs yet. What are my options and what recommendations do you have?

Thanks!

Ooops, I forgot to mention this...

the idea of sitting at home and dripping to get some killer flavor is cool. But ideally, I'd like something that I can carry around all day and vape on without having to constantly drip. This is why I like the clearomizers. Is it even possible for me to get that kind of flavor without dripping and/or building my own RBA? Because if it is, THAT is what I want.

Try the mvp2 or vamoV5 or a similar vv/vw
As for clearomizers I've tried almost all the kangers and the nautilus and for me the areotank out performs them all.
But I would also look at a kayfun/Russian it is an rba but incredibly easy to work with. Or something that looks to be a kayfun killer supposedly easier to use check out the expromizer just do a YouTube search on it.

I went from there to mvp2. They are very nice. Don't be afraid of the RBA's. They really are pretty easy. If you don't want to buy the kanthal and wick, you can buy pre made ones for dirt cheap at Fasttech. A couple dollars to 50. I have been very pleased with them and use them if I am in a hurry. YouTube shows you exactly how to do them. When you are ready, there is always some here that will help. I just want to tell you if I can do it......anyone can. Dripping does have the best flavor to me. I started out on the igo-L but the others that you can do single coil are just as easy.

Good luck to you and happy vaping and also

MVP 2 with a couple of IClear 30s's for now. Get a small inexpensive dripper next. I am no expert; I have a couple of Smok Scars, but I am sure others can point you in the right direction. Get a Kayfun. The Ehpro clones are really good, I own 2 KFL+ from them. A dripper is a good place to learn how to properly do coils, and the Kayfun is super easy to build on.

But for starters, the MVP with the IClear 30s's is hard to beat. I sometimes feel like I am in danger of sounding like a shill, but the 30s is really one of the best clearos I have ever used. I have 3 Kayfuns and rebuild ProTanks, but my 30s's still make it into the mix because they are that good.

Best luck to you, and welcome to ECF!

The kayfun is my first RBA. And so easy to build on. Few things with the kayfun, don't let the coil touch the deck or the "small center tube" the only leak I have had in the kayfun Is from me trying to fill it too fast. You don't need a syringe or needle bottle to fill it. It helps but that is what caused my leaking issue. It only lasted for a few seconds. It holds a lot of juice compared to the aerotank. Almost double. The kayfun is my adv, and other than my mess ups, it's been the perfect RBA to me.

Hi there, I just want to say please don't be afraid of a RBA. The difference in flavor is huge! If I can do it, trust me, you can do it as well. You can always start out with a simple RDA, one that has a tank mode as well as dripping mode. Vision eternity is a super simple starter RDA and can be tank mode as well. Agi, which is a nemisis clone is also a pretty straight foward RDA. It can be used as a big tank with a silica wick, cotton or stainless mesh wick. It can also be a dripper. It's more complex then the eternity but is still a fairly easy build. I started with the vision. It's soo super easy. You might take a look and see what you think. Hope this helps. Best wishes

I would definitely go with the MVP2 if you can get over the box shape. They have mega long battery life with pass-thru capability and you can use them in VV or VW modes. Don't be afraid of an RBA. I don't use one yet, but I am looking into it. It has to be easier than rebuilding my stock kanger coils (which I do and it is super easy). YouTube is great...it will show you anything you need to know on how to build your RBA.

I like realsis's recommendation of an RDA that can be used as a tank as well. Just make sure it has a glass or metal insert for the tank option so you can vape any juice in it. Coils aren't difficult. If I can do it...You can...trust me on that!

I agree with everybody else, VV/VW device & KFL. Vamo, Sigelei V5 or if you prefer a box mod MVP2, VTR. If $ is no object Provari although this is only VV but a great device. If you would rather not try rebuilding at this time a carto tank works great. A Reo with RM2 would also work nice but involve rebuilding.

I am confused as to why an MVP2 or any other mod mentioned in this thread would give a better vape than a twist.

Because it has VW, goes from 3 to 6 volts and 6 to 11 watts. Just about any regulated mod will do better than a twist. Now saying they are bad...just that the others are better.

Thanks so much for the feedback! Great stuff. Sounds like MVP with a Kayfun is probably the way I'll go for now. I was actually up at the local vape shop earlier and the manager was showing me how to build RPA's. It's really not as complicated as I thought. As far as mechanical mods, I will probably be getting one soon too... I just want to be safe and educate myself on the electrical side a little more first. Thanks again!
