(mvp v2, iclear 30 and aerotank mega)
and i'm right now looking at vapor shark dna 30 and a russian 91, i never built a coil, do you think that this will be a good setup for a noob like me? give me more options on what to buy and what you think it will be best for a begginer like me
thanks in advance
good draws :vapor::vapor::vapor:

And get an ohm reader so you can measure the ohms of your build. Even though your MVP can do this, a ohm reader will be more accurate (and it makes for a good building base).

If you click on my "signature line" the "Steam Engine" is a great little online resource to have for rebuilding.

You're not really a "noob"... you're what I call an "intermediate vapist". You're into an entry level APV, and want more power. With an Aero Mega, you're running the, arguably, best glasso on the market... but it's not enough, and rather than screw around rebuilding a Mega coil, you want a proper rebuildable.

So... your progression is perfectly logical and reeking with common sense. ;-)

I don't know what your budget is, but I suggest you invest more time researching higher current (than an MVP2) APVs and rebuildables. The genuine Kebo R91% is an excellent KF design atty and always a good first time rebuildable... but there are newer, more flavorful designs on the market as well - don't discount them.

You may even want to consider an RDA to develop your coil wrapping skills... as the build decks are easier to work with and allow more freedom with coil and wick arrangements. Click on my second sig line hyperlink and read the article... in particular, the pertinent links to subjects regarding Kanthal wire and coil building. You'll be glad you did.

Correct.

Have fun!

what kind of wire and wick am i supposed to use? sorry but i'm a total noob

28g is always a good starting point. And as far as wick, I use Cellulose cotton and organic cotton. It all depends on my build and possibly the juice I plan on using. I like cotton for builds below .8ohms, while I like cellulose for .8ohm and above.

so if i'm aiming at 1.1 ohm you suggest cellulose question answered, thank you

So russian 91 is a solid start and it will be my choice, how about the dna 30 what do you recommend?
thanks guys for your help :vapor:

I second what Despraci is saying. The Kebo Russian 91% was my first rebuildable. It's easy to build and once you get the hang of building your coils it will become second nature. I also use a Kanger Mega in my rotation but I mostly use my Russian 91 and a Kayfun. The only thing I'm not a fan of with the Vaporshark and mods like it are the internal batteries. I like being able to switch out if my battery dies and not have to look for some place to charge. That's not to say it isn't a good device. Just my :2c:

My third rebuildable was a kayfun (very similar to Russian) I love my Kayfuns. I have 2 now and a black one on the way. Great atty. Go on you tube and type kayfun build and look at Rio trippers video. I build a vertical micro coil in all my kayfuns. I love them dearly. As far as getting better at building, a nice rda would be good for you to get some practice. The quasar is a great rda. Duel and single with adjustable air holes.

I'd get a nautilus mini over the aero tank, the nautilus adjustable air valve clicks into place where as the aero tank moves freely (which can be quite annoying)
i know that, i bought this one after tried both of them, the airflow on the nautilus is better if you are always ajusting, but if you find the airflow that you like on the mega that won't move unless you want so it doesn't bother me at all.
but now i'm thinking on moving one step higher to the russian 91, but i need to know which mod to choose, i've seen some reviews of vapor shark and it looks great to me any more suggestions?

I have not used the russian 91, however I do have a ehpro kayfun lite clone running at 1.2 oms / organic cotton /28ga kanthal. I am IN LOVE with this thing. For me, the kayfun made me realize what I am looking for in a tank, and that is consistency. The kayfun is awesome and blows clouds all day. The Russian 91% clone is pretty much the same thing as the russian 91% is as I believe made by those who left kayfun.

EDIT: This is my current setup (I'm a nooby) but I love it and for less than $150 for everything including charger / ohmmeter its amazing
