Next step up from Vision Spinner or Joyetech Ego, battery life/performance

Hello, everyone. This is my second go here on the forum. First was a few years back when technology wasn't so good and I gave up on vaping altogether.

Currently, I'm using a Vision Spinner 2 (1300, I believe) and I've gone through some various batteries (the usual/similar to Vision Spinner 1/Ego/etc.)
I'm 8 days off of analogs and happy to say that things are good. Very few withdrawal symptoms (after about 3 days of tapering down) and using a fairly low strength of liquid (12 mg).

My question is this:

I really am looking for a battery with a longer life than the Vision Spinner type of batteries that are USB charged. I'd like to have something a little more substantial in size. Thing is, I really don't want a mod because I don't need all the bells and whistles…I don't change the voltage, etc. So many of the mods come with computers/displays/bells/whistles that I would never need or use.

I'm really looking for something like a Vision spinner that is much thicker but just has a button to activate the e-cig and *possibly* a variable voltage (again, similar to the Vision Spinner 1300). No other bells/whistles/etc. Cost isn't really an issue…if it will give me a long battery life, and will keep me off of analogs, it'll be worth it in my opinion as long as the reviews are solid.

I did just purchase an Innoken iTaste MVP 2.0 (online…hasn't been delivered yet) because it seemed like the next step but I'm not sure how well I'll like the shape of it.

So just looking for suggestions or links (if that's allowed) for the longest battery life that is simple/510 compatible and very easy to use.
I really like the Kanger Evod basic tanks (1st version) so I'm sticking with that for now.

My hope is really that I'll be able to taper down strength to 6 mg over the next month or so. I'm in no hurry but I just don't want to go overboard with the mods and accessories, etc. Thanks in advance for someone who is able to steer me in the right direction.

The MVP is a great choice, you may not like the form factor... but it has a great battery life, and is pretty reliable.

As to your tapering off the nic... dont rush it too fast. If you push to lower it too quick, you might be setting yourself up for failure.

A couple of things you can do to make your quest for less nic work though. Buy some 6mg and use the 12mg during the day, but use the 6mg in the evening, the last 2-4 hours you are awake. You can also mix equal parts of 12mg and 6mg, so make your own 9mg. Because the drop from 12 to 6 is rough,..... with a few weeks or a month at 9mg in the middle can make it easier.

as to other devices...

the Eleaf Istick, is just hitting the market, lots of people think it might be the MVP killer;

but otherwise most "stick batt" types, like what you are currently using.. just dont have enough mAh or quality to last all day.

Hi

You haven't received your MVP yet? Perhaps you might want to try it for awhile before spending any more money. I never thought I would like box mods, but I was surprised at what a nice hand feel they have. I remember freaking out when I opened my vape mail and saw a 1000mAh Twist for the first time. There was no way I would ever use anything that long! It's amazing what we get over. :)

I've had my MVP for going on two months now, and it has been great! Set it at the voltage/wattage you like and vape happily for hours. I'm not that heavy of a vaper, but I can go about a week between charges, great battery life. The box shape is nice too, once you hold it and feel what it's like in your hand. You've made a great choice the way I see it.

Thanks for the responses, encouragement and suggestions, everyone. I am definitely going to give the MVP a while. I think I had second thoughts about whether or not it was the right move and was mostly just thinking in terms of if it's not something that works out.

And I appreciate the suggestion about tapering down slowly and cutting back around evening. I will give that a shot. Like I said, not in a hurry to cut down or out altogether but I need to keep that goal in mind. I did just pick up some 6 mg juice today and will probably split a tank between 12 mg and 6 mg for evenings/night and see how it goes. I also have 18 that I started off with but found it was a bit too much. The 12 seems to fill the void and I really only find myself vaping after meals and at night. First half of the day at work I have been good with no vaping.

Will look into the suggestions and I definitely appreciate the input/wisdom from everyone. I don't want to be the kind of guy who just shows up when he has a question but I don't have much knowledge to share at this point. Hopefully I will continue to learn as I go along.

My main goal is just to stay off of analogs and for the first time in my life, I can say I don't crave them at all or miss them. I know it's a longterm problem to manage so I will always keep my vaping equipment around just in case. For now, one day at a time and try to do it as well informed as possible.

Again, appreciate the support!

This, War...half the price of the MVP with a better button placement than the MVP, smaller size, 2200 mah will last all day on a single charge. Puffing contentedly away on my black one as we speak!
I want one! [emoji14] I love my Spinner 2 at 1650mAh, and I find the higher mAh does more than increase battery life; it also produces better vapor production. I have 3 sizes of Spinners, and the older Spinner 1 at 1200mAh I like, but any lower than that just doesn't have enough power. I want to test my theory on the ARO- for less than $30, it's a great deal. Thanks!
