Charging Vision Spinner

Since I cannot post elsewhere yet, I thought this may be helpful to some others.

I recently bought a starter kit. It included a "joyetech USB Charger" / "Model: eGo USB Charger" (on back).

More recently purchased a new Vision Spinner (650) battery. ('2013' is imprinted/Chrome).

Today, the spinner finally ran out. I tried charging it and was pulling out my hair: I kept reading on this site the light should come on/etc. It was not. The 1000mA batteries (not spinners/VV) I originally received charge fine. (And you have to tighten them all the way for it to charge. Like you would assume.)

After messing around with connection for about an hour I finally figured out it would charge if i didn't screw the spinner down all the way (RELIEF! It's the only charger I have ATM). Worked by only screwing it down by about 2/3rds of the way of total possible.

Apparently, the contact points break enough if it goes beyond a certain point. (I was definitely *not* over-tightening to begin with). Anyway, I hope this helps anyone else who may have similar issue. Strangely, not tightening at all it did the trick. (with my spinner anyway).

4.2 volts, 420 mA ; that should work just fine.

Yeah it did work - and that's the charger output I have = 4.2V/420...
But, it was just odd/non-intuitive that by not fully 'attaching' Spinner was the only way that ended up working/charging it. Unlike my other ones which will not charge if not fully 'screwed down'/attached fully.

Dont know what it is with the spinners, but its a common problem. I just couldn't get my spinner to charge with any of the Ego chargers I got from my local B&M. Ordered two more chargers, for like $3 each from fast tech and the 1st one is still going strong and haven't had a Spinner problem since. They looked the same, but there is a difference, probably center post height.

Now as for floating and/or swimming.....my Spinner didn't do too well with that. RIP Spinner.
