Hey there :) So Im ready for my second device, Ive got the evic-vTc mini and Im finding its not ideal for work. I need something thats really durable. I am a farmer, and work outdoors every day. A lot of running around, or riding around in a side by side. Im thinking of something I can put in my back pocket, that wont leak juice everywhere if it gets shuffled around. Might end up a bit dusty etc. Any suggestions? (Thought vaping was supposed to save me money!)

Vaping saves money when you find a device you want and don't need anything else :) I went through a huge spending free because my YouTube channel. Haven't done a video since August and I'm saving money now. Especially switching to unflavored which is very very cheap to do.

I'll be the typical forum user to recommend a Reo Grand, however I don't know if you want to stick with regulated mods and tanks. This device is a squonker and unregulated. You would build your coils for it as well. Plus it's quite the investment to get what you need also with learning. That being said the Reo is ridiculously durable. There is a video of a friend throwing his and hitting it with a hockey stick haha. If it gets dirty just take the battery out and bottle out and wash it in the sink.

I've never used a regulated device that I was comfortable being hard on. Sure I've dropped them, but it was the longest second of my life before it hit the ground haha and hoping it wouldn't break. I've never had leaking issues with tanks, but I never did the farming you're doing with one.

the more demanding your requirements the more $$difficult$$ it gets.

Not a farmer, but everybody I know is.
Billet Box...... Thing looks bullet proof. IDK, when to get the original but Fastech has clones. They are VV.

I'm another mechanical user.
Gotta say nothing beat an old fashion Stainless Steel tube mech for durable. Drop it in a pile of manure.. Rinse and vape. Run it over with a tractor.. In the field, dig it out of the track, wipe and vape. Drip tip covers to keep the dirt out.

There are some very good indestructable Regulated, TC and Mechanical squonkers out, ask here, Liquid Feed APV Discussion.

Let me add something.

I won a Cloupor Mini+ TC mod here on ECF and with the silicone sleeve and a PC tank I think it would hold up fairly well.

Finding a different mod for outdoor work is an interesting proposition. It might be easier to buy new pants. (It's not a joke) I wear Carpenter style jeans which have a ruler pocket on the right side. So far I can fit my Sigelei 150 watt, and Cube II, large mods in this pocket. It works well on the smaller mods as well. Being on the side poses less risk than in a back pocket. It's a tight enough fit it doesn't wallow around in the pocket, and actually works like a holster. With the smaller mods like the Evic you have, most side ruler pockets in carpenter style jeans would protect the tank and tip as well.

Cargo style has the large pockets and I find the mods flop or move around quite a bit in those.

lot of decent workday options - heatvape invader is solid, cloupor mini + is extremely well built... one other suggestion - instead of a back pocket carry, may be worth taking a look at the kydex holsters that @coffeebum makes for mods - here are some pix of the one he recently made for my sigelei 150w TC box and it rocks for every day carry (the sig is a great mod also, but may be a little big if you prefer smaller form factor, though it is really well built and solid - and if you are running a lower wattage/ higher ohm setup, dual batteries would last you a LONG time, out and about... something worth considering...)

My coolfire 4 is made of brushed steel. Very solid. I'd happily carry it in a back pocket. I'm using Kanger subtank nanos and would NOT put them in a back pocket though.

I'd get a steel PV like the CF4 or MVP etc and put one of the caged tanks / subtanks on it. Or if you're happy at lower wattage, JANTY / JOYTECH / BOGE XL cartos (now do dual coil ones too) I know from experience are pretty durable and as they are cheap too, so you can take the risk all day long, whereas an expensive caged tank might be good a lot of the time, if it does break = a lot of cost to replace.

+1 on the Heatvape Invader for a regulated. I've seen videos of folks TRYING to destroy those things with little success. As far as a topper, a RDA with a tight fitting top cap is a good bet. They are (usually) made of stainless steel and are very durable. Easy to clean and rewick as well. If you drop one in a "meadow muffin" you can disassemble it and warsh it pretty easily. +1000 on a mech. There are safety issues, but once you learn how to build safely they are very easy and hard to break. If you like the Nautilus, there is also a solid steel tank for it.
