Ok, So far its been one month of vaping and analog free. I've been loving my 510. Battery isn't usually an issue because I'm usually at the computer w/ my passthru. However when away at a friends house, much like with analogs, when I'm drinking I chain vape. So I'd like to get a battery for just such occasions. What do you guys recommend?

Most threads I've read have recommended people that have a 510 go with the EGO since they already have all the parts to go with it. And don't get me wrong, the EGO looks pretty beautiful. But I would prefer something that I could just open up and replace the Li Ion batteries that I could pick up anywhere.

So do I:
A) Get a 905 w/ 510 adapter
B) Get a Chuck: they look sick and the customization options are infinite.
C) Get some Box mod
D) None of the Above

I'm personally leaning towards a Chuck, from what I've seen they have pretty wreck less TH. I've seen the Precious and others like it, but well lets face it, I got two kids in full time day care and that is as much as my mortgage payment .

my ion has gotten me through drunken nights of chain vaping more often than i like to admit, but thats just me, if you are seriously considering the chuck, i have heard from basically all very experienced vapers who have said anything about it on this forum that it is nothing short of GREAT, so if i were you i would probably go with that out of those choices, also i am currently working on a box mod just for the fun of it and the idea of just switching out regular batteries and having a 3ml reservoir is great. my only problem toward them is that i don't wanna really be seen sucking on a box.

Well, if you aiming for around the same price as a Chuck... With an 18650 battery I'd imagine the Chuck or the Silver Bullet are your best choices. If you don't mind bumping out a bit more cash, go for a Buzz and you have variable voltage too but your battery won't last NEARLY as long. Or take the middle of the road choice, get the Chuck or SB and nail yourself a Terminator.

What is it you like about the Ion? Unfortunately it doesn't seem to get a lot of attention on the forum. Maybe its just me and I've missed it.

Thanks, I've heard of these only in passing, but can't say I've seriously looked into these.

I would recomend a BB from altsmokes for a 3.7v.Its well built and has a much,much better button than the chuck.I also recomend the GLV2 for 5v vaping.Sturdy,nice TH,good device.

I'd say:

1. Silver Bullet - Probably the most durable and best constructed mod out there - can be run at 3.7v, 6v, or 7.4v
2. GLV2 - While there are a couple of small design issues I have with it...I really like it - 5v is also a great vape!
3. Bartleby - Box mod at either 3.7v or 5v - pretty inexpensive - charges from a built in mini-usb port and functions as a passthrough while charging!

I don't have or really need one...but I'm always on the lookout for a 5v Bartleby to hit the classifieds. I have NEVER seen one show up. Tells you a lot about a mod!

Big brother is coming out that looks like a great variable volt mod and the price point is suppose to be less than $80.
