When: Sunday, October 28, 1pm
Where: Sun Up Brewing in the Brewers' Den (Just ask the hostess for the vaping Group when you arrive if you don't know where it is).
Location: 322 East Camelback Road, Phoenix, AZ 85012
Light Rail Stop: Camelback & Central
Parking: Lots of parking in Sun Up's parking lot.

Great food at Sun Up, please consider having lunch and a drink (or two) there so we can continue to have our meets there for free! The kettle chips and chipotle ketchup are out of this world and they make a mean pile of nachos! More info about Sun Up is available on their Website!

Local suppliers are often in attendance so you can buy liquids, atomizers/cartos, drip tips, mods, etc. If you have something to sell or trade, bring it along! If you DIY and have a juice you're proud of, bring some and let folks try it!

Raffle News - We will have our usual raffle drawings (please consider bringing something to donate for our drawings, vaping-related or not!) and as always, we'll have our 50/50 cash pot drawings from the money brought in from raffle ticket sales. Our local suppliers often donate something great as well.

Spread The Word - If you know vapers that aren't part of the ECF, invite 'em! Know any smokers looking for alternatives? Bring 'em along! The more the merrier!

Social Schedule - Here's our meet schedule for the rest of the year, which will be amended slightly once we settle on the party and get it scheduled. It will replace the meet for the month.
- Saturday, November 17, 1pm
- Sunday, December 16, 1pm

Have any questions? Shoot me a PM here or hit Barry up on the VIP Face Book page (Phoenix Vapers) at https://www.facebook.com/groups/phoenix.vapors/. Feel free to RSVP in this thread or on Facebook, and we hope to see you all there!

Sorry, I haven't posted them up. I had a couple of people ask that they not be in any of the pictures, and that knocked out a bunch of them. I didn't really have the time to do a lot of cropping and resizing around folks, so I figured I'd just give last month a pass. We'll try again this month. :)

Really?!?!? Some people came to a public meet and didn't want to be seen publicly? I don't understand that.

Being serious I really do not understand this. Vaping is not illegal. It is not nearly as socially condemned as smoking analogs. Everyone was clothed and behaving. What could be bad about having a picture posted in regards to this group.

While I would respect the right of anyone to make such a request and agree to not post pics, since we did not make an announcement that it is common knowledge we take pictures each week and post them. I would request an equal amount of respect given to the group. Why wouldn't they say something at the meeting or sit off to the side?

I get more and more confused about how far the enjoyments of the many are being more and more tailored to the needs of the few. Pretty soon if any one person has a problem with anything no one else on the planet can use, say or participate in anything.

I would request that from now on we make an announcement at the beginning of the meeting that there will be pictures taken, they will be posted. If anyone doesn't want to be in the pictures sit off to the side. Also that we will be vapping & if anyone is not down with that to leave. Also there will be adult beverages consumed, food ingested, bathrooms will be in use and possibly some will be having fun and possibly enjoying themselves.

I do not see this so far removed from someone walking in to our meeting area and complain we are smoking or vaping and we would have to quit.

That was actually my plan, to make a formal announcement at the beginning of the meet that there would be pictures taken and posted on the web.

Sorry if anyone's bent out of shape over this. The important thing is that we meet and exchange ideas and experiences. The pix aren't the primary focus (hey, a pun!) and I would rather have meets with no pix than pix with no meets. Fortunately, I believe we can have both.

Sorry, guess I got bent about this.

I do respect someone's desire to be in a picture or not. I, like you, just want to enjoy the meetings. And I want that desire to be respected by those that want to bend everyone else to there personal biases. I just think the nitpicking is getting out of control.

If you have a personal preference go where that preference is celebrated. Don't go where it is not and don't expect everyone else to comply to your preference either. That is why there are menu's and buffets. So we can make personal choices based on our personal preferences. Just because I do not like peas I do not complain to the management that the peas be removed. I do not ask anyone else with peas on their plate to eat somewhere else. To me that is common sense. Maybe that is my problem.

I want to live and let live. I want the freedom to pursue my happiness. I want to be accommodating to the point that my choices are not hindered and I give that accommodation to others with the same stipulations.

Lol, it was cool, the waitress laughed at me. I had a cream stout (really really good) and chicken wrap while I watched the very end of my Vikings whupping my Cardinals. I'm kicking back at home now vaping some 555 and listening to dr demento on the internet after watching football all day. A day of football, 555 and Dr Demento make for an awesome Sunday. C y'all NEXT Sunday, lol.

Another meet down, and another grand time had by all! Although the turnout was small, we had both new faces and old friends, and much vaping ensued!

Rebuildable tank attys were the buzz this month, with Barry's Z-Atty Pro
and a Mongoose RBA making an appearance.

With rebuildables becoming more and more prevalent, it has been suggested that we do a
rebuilding workshop with people demonstrating their methods and materials. If you think this
is a good idea, sound off and we'll make this happen next month!

Dave and Tish from Desert Vapes were in the house, and they brought huge piles
of juice and gear from the shop for sale! Sunny and I loaded up on eGo batteries
(DV sells some GORGEOUS engraved eGo-K's and 400mah Mini eGos) and clearos.

Craig from Kidney Puncher set up shop too, with some screaming deals
on closeouts and test runs.

...and under Frank's watchful eye, much commerce ensued!

RAFFLE TIME!

raf1.jpg

On the table this month was a shorty TrueStone tip hand-turned by Smackley
raf2.jpg

Also, the ludicrously long DS90 DripStick from RE-DOC over at /r/electronic_cigarette
was up for grabs
raf3.jpg

And the grand prize this month, thoughtfully donated by Desert Vapes, was this Halloween-
themed eGo pack with an orange case, engraved eGo-K battery, gold skull tip, and a bottle
of their Ecto Plasma juice!
raf4.jpg

The raffle brought in $110 this month, so the 50/50 split was $55 each! Gary cashed in
on the first stack
raf-50-gary.jpg

and LeAnn hit the second half
raf-50-leann.jpg

which she's vowed will NOT go to replace her kids' bikes that they sold for ten bucks
(each!) while she was at the meet

Lena won a pair of brown gummy drip tips
raf-lena.jpg

David scored the Smackley TrueStone tip
raf-david.jpg

LeAnn won a 10ml bottle of HALO's Cafe Mocha juice
raf-leann.jpg

Sarah won the DripStick DS90, which will look pretty wild on her new eGo
raf-sarah.jpg

Craig from Kidney Puncher won a Drip On Demand system with a spare bottle,
donated by Gary
raf-craig.jpg

Gary won one of two Mongoose rebuildable tank attys donated by Barry
raf-gary.jpg

and Sunny won the other one, but was too thrilled to take a picture
of herself receiving it

No raffle is complete without a couple of Bottle Buddies! Barry and Tish each scored
one of these staggeringly handy little nylon packs
raf-barry.jpg

raf-tish.jpg

And LeAnn finished off the raffle by winning the grand prize,
Desert Vape's Halloween eGo set!
raf-leann-gp.jpg

Congrats to all the winners, and thank you SO MUCH to everyone who donated prizes to the raffle! It was a great little meet and I hope everyone had as much fun as we did - we're only a few hours out of this one, and I'm already jazzed for the next one. See you all next month!
