Ok, ok, ok, many of you probably saw this title and thought "awwwww man, I know what this is about... he's going to use it anyway, isn't he???"

I received my latest order from NF; the custard coffee & tea flavoring is about 50% solid matter... it looks like butter but I am assuming it is, in fact, custard. I don't actually know what custard is but dang it smells great!

In the 4oz bottle I have maybe 2oz of liquid... that's fine I guess if I can still use that; it smells excellent... what do y'all say? Is this indicative of a defect in the flavoring or a natural occurrence? Can I re-mix it & use all 4 oz? What will it do to my juice?

Any knowledge on this matter would be appreciated.

I know some liquids will solidfy if they got cold. Usually giving them a warm water bath (putting the flavor bottle in a cup of warm water) will re-liquify them. I've never used that particular flavor, but I've seen it happen on other flavors. Again, I have no experience with that particular flavor. Good luck!

Cheers,
Steve

I've never bought directly from NF website, but I do have NF custard from HDV (about a year ago) and last week bought some from ECX.

It's white not yellow. I emailed ECX and NF to ask about the Custard flavor appearance. In email from ECX they indicated that settlement happens frequently and their stock is mostly a whiteish color. If Separation occurs do a hot water bath to re-incorporate. They said it's perfectly fine to use.

The bottle of NF Custard that I received last week looks like grainy Milk. (soured, curdled? milk) It's cloudy and has so much granular particulate that I'm choosing not to use it. I posted a thread on the ECX forum to ask about this "milk" looking white liquid and they replied that they will check with NF and get back to me.

The Custard flavor from HDV last year is clear (in clarity, not cloudy) and is lightly tinged yellow. No sediment or granular floaties.

Edit: to add, NF called me on the phone instead of replying to my email. They indicated that cold temps cause separation. That it's fine to use, however. Hmm.
