Ok, let me start by saying I have become more patient in my older age but there is a point where you have to throw in the towel and just ask.
I have been trying to make something 'close' to Rip's Blueberry Custard and Nanas Cream for almost a month straight! I just love these juices but it will get expensive buying 65ml bottles every week :)

So, I am asking all you DIY'ers what do you think Rip Tripper is using for Blueberry in his Blueberry Custard and what Banana he is using in Nanas Creme that gives it a nice natural flavor that is not over powering. Perfect balance IMHO.

Everything I try for Blueberry and Banana tastes 'fake', or 'candy'ish'. I am not a veteran of juice making so possibly there are other ingredients that achieve it as well. I am just not sure.

I do have some Organic Blueberry by Nature's Flavors on the way to try as well. Although, the reviews and comments are all over the place with all of the concentrates!

I have not tried all the Blueberry flavors out there obviously but have tried Capellas (Very weak), Flavor West (Not realistic IMO)...
Although, using Capellas Vanilla Custard and Capellas vanilla is awesome and I have been using that as the custard base while trying different amounts of Blueberry and sweetener etc...

Oh, I have not tried many Banana flavors but the Signature Ripe Banana = Banana Runts for sure...

Thanks ahead of time.

I've heard some great feedback about FA Bilberry.
Remember that blueberry is a bit "tart", so a sour note or perhaps a bit of raspberry might help bring the BBY to the front.

Cheers

Thanks and actually that is on the list to try and clone as well. The wife and I like the BlueRas from High Caliber also.

My all time favorite. Try 3% of each LorAnn's blueberry and raspberry. It's close but no cigar. It you get anything better let me know.

This is what I came up with for the BluRaz.... 10% Signature Blueberry Candy / 10% Capella Raspberry / 7% Capella Blue Raspberry Cotten Candy / 2-4 drops of sweetener per 10ml. Try it without the sweetener first.... we like it sweet :)

Back to the topic! Guys and gals, any other ideas for real blueberry and Banana?!? Maybe some other items added to the mix achieves that awesome flavor?

Bump! Still on a quest to find out what ingredients Rip Tripper uses in his Blueberry Custard and Nanas Cream!!

To me it almost tastes/smells like a very slight hint of Anise in the Blueberry Custard. Does that even make sense?
For the Banana flavor, it is cloudy and have to shake it well. Do you think it is an organic banana of some sort?
