With the NFL football season getting ready to kick off, here is a thread for posting your teams plight.

One of the most interesting offseason stories was about Texan and now Cleveland quarterback Johnny Manziel. Some NFL scouts thought he was a sure fire star to be in the NFL. Some think he is a bust. After watching tape on him, I think Manziel is incredibly talented. But he plays with such a reckless style, I dont know how he will be able to stay healthy with 250 pound linebackers that are faster than college guys, hitting him continuously.

No matter, My Vikings got the best QB in the draft in Teddy Bridewater, who is going to make the Packers pay dearly for years to come. Bridgewater has got it all, the arm, mobility, fast feet, quick release, understands and luvs the game.

Cowboy fans: Tony Romo couldnt keep Jessica Simpson as his girlfriend, and he cant win the big one.

Packer fans: Sorry to here about BJ Raji's injury, that a tough blow. Look on the bright side, it's probably time for the Packers to rebuild anyway. Rodgers maybe has a couple of years left before he is slow, old and ready for something else?

Rams fans: Sorry to hear abt Stafford's injury. Thats a tough blow.

Well I was half right then, I knew it was a "ford. I guess im so used to saying his name it just came out, we have to play Stafford twice a year as he chucks up the ball around 40-50 times a game to Megatron, and others.

I see Methuselah (Peyton Manning) is hanging around for another year. Peyton, probably had the quickest release of a football in a QB ever. There is lots of Bronco fans just to the West of me. NOrth Dakota breaks down into lots of Viking fans, Packers, Broncos, and Cowboys fans.

Im a Viking fan first but when there awful I root for Da Bears. Go vikings, Da Bears.

Uh....Go Lions! (Everyone is an optimist at season start.)

With good reason this year Atty. I dont know what went wrong last year. But with Megatron and Stafford, Suh, and Avril, this is a really talented team. I dont think there is going to be any weak teams in the division this year.

..... Last nite the NFL kicked off and Super Bowl champs Seattle crushed the mighty Packers from Green Bay. Will the Packers recover from this opening day abysmal showing?

Well we got two Lions fans, one Broncos fan,one Viking fan. It looks the division is now wide open for the Silver and Blue to make a push for the title.

There is not a Packer or Cowboy fan in site. <<< This is unusual.

there is however lots of people here at ECF from Florida. And the Dolphins can't seem to shake the curse of Dan Marino. They are now in a 5 year playoff drought, and have optimism this year for the improvement of the team. Be wise, stay home. <<< either that or become a Buc fan.

And you Cowboy fans, dont you realize how awful the Cowboys are going to be this year?

14-35 Giants v Lions.... A promising start. :)
Only saw the recap. :(

The Lions looked AWESOME Monday...

I remember when the Lions drafted Calvin Johnson, aka Megatron. I was hoping he would fall to the Vikings in the worst way. Randy Moss was gone, and when Moss left, no only were the Vikes bad, a lot of good humor left town. Randy Moss was just flat out a comedian too. The Lions had had some rotten luck drafting wide receivers so I thought they would pass on him. Anyway the Lions grabbed Megatron, the Vikings got Adrian Peterson and the rest is history.

Obviously both Peterson and Johnson, and Randy Moss will someday be enshrined in Canton.

So this is where I can cry about my Saints leaving way too much time on the clock after going up in the fourth against the falcons?

So sad.

If it makes you feel any better I'm an Atlanta fan. Not even going to gloat that game was one mini heart attack after the next. It was a ridiculously good game I'm looking forward to the next one in NOLA for sure!

Saints/falcons...Always down to the wire, isn't it?

They are always nailbiters. And its seems to go in waves falcons dominate the series a few years, the saints dominate it a few years. Very exciting games, amazingly underrated rivalry.

EDIT: Is your avatar by chance you burning your personal paper bag?
