Nice review of the NGP ring switch Ross. BTW regarding the 3 bottom holes, the 2 outer ones are so you can unscrew the base to allow for a longer battery if necessary, they also act as vent holes :)

Did you drill your top cap out. I really don't recommend it on a center wick genisis with this large of an atty chamber... I have 2 of these, and one got drilled, it ruined it and I had to get creative to make it work again. The other one is stock and rocks the vapor and flavor :)

Jolly, I disagree with boring out the airhole. After I bored it out it hit 100% better. I cannot vape with the small airholes. My Orion, all of my Zenesis devices, DIDs, Pitgen, Cobra, Bliss all have the 1/16 airhole, and they vape so much better. Not sure why it would ruin the NGP that you bored out, but mine is totally fine. I am actually selling it because I just got the Sidewinder Zenesis, and need to recoup for VaporCon. Thanks for the input though!!

We agree to disagree then ;).

I can vape with a small air hole. Its a difference in vaping style and preferences is all. I had a bad experience drilling out one of my NGP caps, and some others have also. Glad yours worked for you. My stock NGP is leaps and bounds better then the drilled one though (for me). I prefer the Orion the way it is stock also, and have tried them with a bored air hole. Vaped a lot of gens, and a large air hole has not been the answer (for me) except for one exception. It has always come down to wick and coil setup. Though there is no question air flow plays a big part. The first "commercial" hybrid kit from POC held its own. One of the better I have used recently was the Hellfire, and it was not drilled out. The Line can make crazy vapor and flavor without drilling it, when setup right. The bliSS worked real well also, again not drilled out (though it is 2x 1/32 and that equates to your 1/16th I guess). The Zen is what it is with the air hole, I like it as it is also, but I have never gotten the flavor from certain eliquids as I get from some others, but it certainly can make the vapor :) The tight draw helps some, but no go i guess because of the chamber size? ... However, I like the Zens, and use them for flavors that overpower me on the Orion... Like Hype and Absinthe, and other strong flavors. They work great in the Zen setup for me, and yes, crazy vapor. But subtle flavors I prefer in an (stock) Orion, Line, NGP, or bliSS and still get crazy vapor.

That exception is the Vaper by Petar K. It lets a lot of air flow, has a small chamber, and an air hole on each side of the wick/coil. The draw is very easy, and vapor is crazy, the flavor is spot on, but again, not as intense as other gens I have tried over the last 2 years. I overlook that due to it being something that is perfect for my style when vaping at work etc, and just vape what is good in it to me. I think (so it is only IMO) the large air flow is really great for letting the thing breath, but the consequence is possibly reduced flavor. I am in the minority I realize, but know what I prefer, and don't prefer. I know a few did not like the Vaper, but I do as does anyone that I have let try it...

Regardless, great reviews, keep trucking and have fun :)

PS: Happy to see your wife got her PV replaced, and I am guessing you got your SW sorted :)

Hi and Thank you. I was so close to putting up for sale. I could not get good vapour production regardless of coils. Tried AWG 28, 30 and 32 and never got hardly any vapor but much frustration. Then I saw this review which stated the hole size effects production. I would get some production but if inhaled it would vanish in my lungs? Hardly anything would come out and taste was bad. After drilled out to 1/16 " all has changed. Like a whole new unit. Great vapour and now comparable to my Bulli.
Thanks for the tip.
