Really thinking about a dna 40. The temperature control thing seems like fun. But I notice that they specify Ni200 wire.

My question; can't seem to find any thread elsewhere: Is vaping a pure nickel wire safe? Nickel is not a very safe metal in the body. Have there been any studies as to whether or not release of nickel for inhalation occurs?

This is probably one of those metals I would like to minimize my consumption of.

I gather because your question has been asked and answered many times, though digging through the threads and finding it can be tedious. No can tell you it is 100% safe, but my opinion is it safer than the alternative. How safe it is can be debated to death, but one of the reasons Evolv chose nickel is because it has a well researched safety profile. The DNA40 has a max limit of 600F in TP mode, and nickel needs to be heated well above that to release anything you would be worried about.

It is not different that the juice you use. It has chemicals that can be dangerous, but not until you get it to a specific temperature. The DNA40 was designed just for that reason, to keep the temperature below levels that release toxins in both the wire and juice.

I also would not call the temp protection fun. It takes more work and is not like working with kanthal, but once you get it, it is a very nice feature.
