I've read both sides of whether or not to freeze vg, but nowhere have I ever seen that freezing pg is bad, so that's what I went with. I've used both and the vg nic base seemed to change color faster, but that could have been the quality.
Matter of taste.
But if you're thinking long term storage, because you living in a corner of the globe where pending legislation might mess with your supply line, PG is the way to go, IMO.
PG is antibactieral and considered more stable. Tightly sealed brown glass bottles in a dark cool corner ( safely out of children's reach ) will last a good number of years, heck your heirs might even be able to pickle your hide in the remaining stash

I keep my nic in the freezer so I use pg since vg in a freezer would be so thick you would find it nearly impossible to work with it. Personally I don't think it matters since you can always still calculate your pg / vg blend to the percentages you want when making the finished product.
I use pg for mine, it's just what I've always used. As for my base in my e-liquids I use a 50/50 mixture.
