A friend wants me to make an e-liquid for her husband in the hopes of replacing the Newport Golds that he is smoking. I made a pretty good (similar) batch for my cousin but had the nicotine level at 25 mg/ml as he smoked Salem regulars. I really have no idea what nicotine level to shoot for when trying to match a Newport Gold as they are what used to be referred to as lights. I know I really can't match the taste but I would like to at least get the TH and nicotine level as close as possible. Would 16 mg/ml be a good target?

This isn't really the proper forum for this tbh, it should've been posted in the general DIY section or even the general eliquid section. But imo what type of cigs isn't as important as how many per day. If he smokes between 15 and a pack a day, I'd start off with 18mg and adjust from there depending on what he thinks.
I smoked a pack a day of lights and started out in DIY using 18mg, but since I chain vape I've gone down to 6mg. When I make a juice for a new vaper I usually start out using 10mg for them, you still get good throat hit at 10mg too. Just my 2 cents though
