Nic Dilution?

OK, on day 35 after 45 years of 2 PaD tobacco. So I'm hooked!

Here's a 'smoke free hats off' to this site and the awesome folk who reside here. As I continue my refreshing venture on the vaping hi-way, I'm learning and would love pass on my guilt-free enthusiasm!

I've passed out many ECF cards and printed up some of the tri-fold pamphlets in hopes that I can share my enjoyment and tobacco freedom.

I've been asked about my eGo Mega and as a consequence of my experiences, I've become an avid, but not evangelical, proponent for ecigs.

I bought a 510T kit for the inquisitive to test for themselves. Today I let a young man test a 510T with some Vanilla Bourbon, 18mg, 50/50 from FSUSA, my favorite thus far. Well, I didn't know that he only smokes when he imbibes adult beverages. The 18 mg make him cough on the intitial hit, although he became very impressed as he continued. Actually, he loved it! In the future, I will get a tobacco history of those that show any interest.

Soooo, my question is can I dilute my 18 mg nic with a few drops of vodka, and if so how much to lower my fav to about 12mg?

Sorry about the lengthy preamble. But, I am a happy vaper!!!

I don't think you can put that much vodka in and have it work right. You can get some PG at OneSTopDIYshop. You could get Wilton brand VG at a Michael's craft shop near the cake decorating stuff. But if you cut the nic that much you will cut the flavor that much. You could buy the same juice in 6mg or so and mix 50/50 w/ 18mg to get around 12mg with good flavor.

On my next order, I'll do that with a 5 ml bottle. It'll be a good test step in dropping from 24 mg to 18 mg to 12 mg for myself.

please more replies to this topic as I'm new to this whole thing and the 16mg are just too strong for me... and I have to wait a week before I get the new stuff.

I'm planning to buy some VG at a local CVS/Walgreens... can someone suggest how many drops to put in? Do I have to dilute it first before I put it in? Or can I just drop it straight in there

if you put the same amount of vg as the 16mg you will have 8mg which should be more tolarble to you, but you will lose flavor but have plunty of vape

Just put it in there. Make sure you get USP VG (Glycerin)

I agree with the VG dilution it is the easiest way of diluting a liquid down but VG does have a tendency to mask flavor.

It's not the first time I see a post about adding alcohol to juice. Inhaling alcohol? Really? It worries me.

You will have all the negative of the alcohol consumption (intoxication, liver damage and others) without any of the warning signs (because of direct absorption of ethanol in the blood stream). I understand that it all depends on the amount you use, but how much do you vape? Low level chronic consumption is not without effect.

Just as a response to the kind, informative and also the questioning posts thus far, I did just receive 240 ml of the above mentioned fav with extra flavor. I was intending to let it steep, but, I may try to 'cut' a few mls for my acquaintance to see if it meets his circumstance.

Oh, I also received a Mega USB pass through (PT) and SWEET! I now don't have to panic when the charger doesn't keep up with my obsessive vaping. What...? Just four Mega and two 510 batts... Yeah, I did say obsessive...

As to vaping alcohol, NOW ya tell me!
