Ok, so when i first starting vaping I was on 36mg nicotine. I was steadfast on 36mg for almost 2 years. I dropped once down to 18. Well, I quickly went back up to 36mg. Well, not too long ago I made the jump, some may think backwards from a zMax to a mech mod, StingRay brass with a Genesis style tank. Well, i stayed on 36mg, that was a mistake....Although the light headedness was kinda cool for a lil'while I couldnt do it long term. I drop way past 24, 18 at straight to 12mg. Now this was a personal choice, but recommended by the Vape shop. Which I took and ran with. Shortly after I went from an 18650 mech mod to a 26650 mech mod and a Tobh Atty, LOVE IT btw. Well, I'm about a month in on it and I've dropped to not caring if I get 6 or 3. I doubt I’ll go to 0mg anytime soon but it's nice to know I'm almost there. I'm wondering if ya'll have had similar experiences when switching to dripping as well. Oh, I love the 28.5mm Tobh Atty, which i know is a clone not just because I bought it knowing but have since learned the Auth doesnt come in 28.5mm, I dont CARE it works great. I now bought a 20mm i think. It's a perfect fit on the 18650 StingRay. Now that all being said, I do care this is a clone. the post holes for the coils are kinda wonky. I'm guessing its cause it's a clone not just cause it's tons smaller, but hot d4mn. It’s a bi7ch to build too. Oh well, with all good things they will come.....Now I've gotten off track, I wanna know if ya'll have done the same, dropped in your nic level.

What's your story, did you drop-how? did you drop-and go back up in nic-why?

Let me just start by saying I'm in no rush to drop my nic level; if I can get the occasional buzz, which rarely happens vaping, I'll vape whatever.

I started on a 510 a few years ago at 30/36mg. Went back to smoking, recently got an ego and kept it around 30/24mg.

Got a VV mod and a Kayfun/dripper, went down to 18 for a week or so.

Then I started to DIY, and mixed randomly around 15-20, whatever made my numbers the roundest. I recently decided to say "screw it" and went back to 24.

It's been good for a few weeks, but for the last day or two my (appox. 1 week old) juice suddenly became harsh, even after cleaning my RDA. It's subsided a bit, but the next juice I make will be 18-20, to see if it smooths things out, or if my "old" juice is just turning harsh.

If I get a device with more than 15 watts I might drop below 18mg, but otherwise I don't see it happening too soon.

Yeah I actually did the exact same thing that you're talking about. I started dripping and rebuilding a couple months ago and I found out real fast that 24mg in a dripper wasn't going to work for me so I dropped down to 12mg hoping for a less harsh TH. I vaped that for a couple weeks and I found that was still a little too much. Now I'm using 6mg and I also keep a couple bottles of 0mg around because sometimes I like to have no throat hit. I have no desire at all to move back up on my nic. I'm quite content with 6mg and 0mg for now. When I first started vaping I really thought that I was never gonna be able to drop my nic level. I kinda did it without thinking about it though. When I dropped from 24 to 12 and 12 to 6 it wasn't as big of a deal as I thought it was going to be when I first started vaping. It was actually really easy. I'm sure some of it is because I'm getting a ton more vapor but I don't think I use more juice than I did when I was at 24.

I've been vaping 36 for....a long time. I loves it. Tasty makes a tasty juice even at high nic levels. That being said...I just built an autodripper on one of my Krakens (28gauge microcoil+cotton) Wicks a dream but GAH...I can't lung inhale anymore. Tried to chase clouds and got smacked down to earth by their fluffy appendage. Probably gonna get some 0nic doublers next time i buy my juices that way I can breed some low nic for impressing (see also terrifying) the girlfriend and still have my high nic for work. (I won't use anything complicated outside the house. Standard tanks that don't leak easily, kanger pro 1-2.)

Yes, same here.
Started on the 36mg that tasted like a Swisher Sweet on one of the ego style batts and clearomizers.
Stayed on that till I went to the Kanger tanks and went down to the more common 24mg juice.
Then onto the 18mg stuff for just a short period and finally have been at 12mg for a couple months now.
I have been venturing into the RDA's and am considering dropping to 6mg, but most of my juice is still 12mg right now, so it will take a bit.

I dropped SLOWLY from 36mg all the way down to 6mg. Every 6 months or so Id drop down by 6mg increments.

This month I will be buying some 100ml 6mg bottles and some 0mg bottles and cut those to 3mg.

Hopefully by my birthday I'll be at 0.

IMO dropping levels gradually is the key.People find vaping and get in such a hurry to quit that they often end up back on cigarettes.

Why rush it? Vaping is way better for us than cigarettes ever were. Also thats a lot of unnecessary stress to put on your body IMO.

at a little over three months I tried to make that jump to 6mg from 12mg...that was SO NOT happening..I have a couple in 6mg for when I sit and chain vape so I dont' get palpitations, sweats, nausea...I started at 24mg at the end of may, stepped down to 18mg and quickly to 12mg..but thats where I'm staying for awhile, less than that, I'm having nicotine withdrawls (frankly)

my guy, he started at 24mg (but wanted a 36mg) and he's on mostly 18mgs now, and this last order conceeded to a 12mg..but that's HIS schedule of stepping down and if he didnt' I don't really care, we're NOT SMOKING. That is/was the goal.

if you're not having any ill effects of nicotine that's what works for you...

When I started vaping on 18th August this year, I was on 24mg. Two weeks later when I bought my naughty mini, I got palpitations, so dropped to 18mg. After 10 days started to get palpitations again, so had to drop to 12mg.

I'm using about 3-4ml a day and the palpitations have reemerged so I've now got to lower my mg AGAIN! Lol.

I'm using a 650mAh ego battery so flip only knows what's gonna happen when I get my istick...

(And before anyone asks - yes, I've discussed this with my GP ;))

It does not make much sense to mention the amount of mg without mentioning the amount of ml at the same time.

I started vaping at 45mg/ml in an EVOD and an eRoll at 2.2 ohm, using about 0.7ml per day. When I switched over to better mods with more advanced atomizers and lower resistance builds, my nic strength went down and my liquid consumption went up. Today, with a quality mech mod and a GP Heron atty running a 0.8 ohm microcoil around Japanese cotton for superb wicking, I use liquid at 15mg/ml but the consumption has gone up to 2ml per day.

All in all it has only been my devices and liquid strength that changed over time, but my nic consumption has stayed exactly the same (about 30mg/day). That is fine by me, I never started vaping with the intention to quit using nic, just to switch to the healtier alternative.

I don't drip. Just not my thing :)

I've been vaping 2 years and started at 18-24mg nic. Over the course of those 2 years, I have now dropped to 7mg nic and have just placed my next order of liquids in 6mg nic. I have no plans on going back up the scale but I do plan on staying at 6mg for a very long time. But who knows? I never planned on quitting smoking :p

And as far a liquid consumption? Mine hasn't changed. I still vape around 5 ml per day. I think it is because I did my lowering very slowly. Also, what you use to vape makes a huge difference in how much you go through.

I'm being "forced" to drop my nic ... I have dental implant surgery in 2 wks, and don't want to risk any failing. So, where I have been vaping about 5 ml/day at 24 mg, I put in my order for 12 mg. Not looking forward to that. I'm hoping the lower level will be no big deal, at which time I will drop again to 6 mg nic. POOP!

I started out with clearos and 18mg about 18 months ago. Cut back to 12 after a month or two, and to 9 some months later. When I got into RTAs I dropped down to 6, then 4 quite quickly. Now I vape 3mg on my RTAs (0.8 ohms on my mechs, 25-30w on my regulated mod) and try to stay at 1mg on my RDAs (0.5-0.6 ohms). Working on cutting back to 2mg on my RTAs, but I'm not planning on going for 0 nic (the benefits of nicotine and all that).
