Actually nicotine is an alkaloid and alkaloids are bitter and that affects taste. My point is that from 16 to 24mg that the difference won't be as great - though some may detect that, some might not.

Nicotine by itself is bitter but the nic base that we experience. it will be either no sweetness with a PEG400 base, some sweetness with a PG base, some more sweetness than PG with a VG base - although I don't get this last nor do a few others - kurt from Ask the Vets, eg. All taste is subjective but you'd have a hard time making something that is naturally bitter taste sweet
