Well, my first REO is expected sometime next week….it’s a black/silver REO Grand.

I'm not new to vaping; in fact, I started vaping in Nov of '08. I always get a new PV close to my "stop-smoking" anniversary, and after much deliberation about what I like/dislike about PVs, I decided to go with the REO Grand mod.

I currently own an Ali'i, and truly enjoy it. However, there are durability issues (especially if you've dropped it on the ceramic floor several times). I thought about the tube mods (I have a Silver Bullet & Indulgence), looked into the new vv (provari, darwin...etc). But decided that my true enjoyment is bottom feeding.

I just want to thank everyone in the REO sub-forum (they say you guys are great, and they’re right!) ....I've been quietly reading all the information/posts available before coming to my decision. The transition from an Ali'i to a REO Grand will be seamless (same batts/attys/6ml bottle). I plan on using AW IMR 18650 (3.7), Tenergy rcr123a LIFEPO4 (x2 3v), and for the first time, trying the 5v NIMH.

I guess the only thing remaining is having that black/silver beauty in my hands sometime next week....also, I here that you guys are all called "REOnauts".......can I be a called a "Canadian REOnaut"???

See you soon with some pics, and my impressions…..VIPOD;)

Welcome to the Reonauti Society. Always nice to have a new face drop by. You are one of the pioneers of vaping. Stop by the lounge and say hello or goodbye or whatever is on your mind either pertaining to vaping or any old thing. Lots of good folks there. Let us know how the Grand is working out for you. I wonder if Rob included the ReoGRand Secret Decoder Ring with your order.

Welcome to REOville, VIPOD! We have several other Canadians in our merry little band, so you'll fit in fine :)

Be sure to post photos of your new REO when you receive it. We love looking at them!

Welcome to the party, VIPOD. I've dropped my Grand more times than I care to admit and it still vapes like a champ. Battle scars and all.

If you like your mods to stay pretty, you can probably find an inexpensive cell phone case to stuff it in. Griff makes super nice holsters especially for the Grand and Mini, too. He has a thread and a website that are pretty easy to find.

Hey vipod! What part of the great white north are you in? There is about 4 different households in bc alone that I know of that have at least 2 reo's in their vaping army (me being one of them). I've dropped my mini several times on pavement already and although its got some nicks and scuffs it will never break.

Another couple of nice things about them are because its metal it laughs in the face of juice spills (they do not leak its when I get messy with refilling) and when it comes time to clean them up they love a bath under running hot tap water.

Anyway, once you've had yours for a minute or two you'll come to cherish yours as much as we do ours :)

Yes, the Grand and Mini can be given a shower! Just blow out with compressed air or a hair dryer before using. Of course the battery and atty, or cartos needs to be out before the shower! Make sure you put a little Noalox on the firing pin after too. There have been REO's submerged in water for days and still working great after drying!

Also please visit the Roll call thread here and enter your country for our count! http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/reos-mods/217670-reo-roll-call.html

Hi Lori,

Nice to meet another Canuck here...I'm from the other side of the coast, Fredericton,NB....actually, only a 3-4hr drive to Robert's place in Maine. But born and raised originally in Montreal.

Do you actually run the REO under water? Any issues afterwards? Do you towel or blow dry it...LOL
