Somewhere out there
8 to 10 years ago I struggled with an itchy rash allergy-type reaction to nickle in foods. I had to give up Chocolate and a lot of my other favorite foods. Nickle is in a lot of foods. Even processing machinery can leave trace amounts of nickle in things like flour. I switched from ordinary bread to ones made with stone-ground whole wheat. Most people can eliminate excess nickel in their systems naturally, but it can cause problems for some of us.

I finally beat it by taking flax seed oil supplements along with vitamin b6 and zinc. I don't do the flax seed oil regularly anymore, but I keep up with the B6 and zinc. If I forget for a long time I might start to get a small re-occurrence of the itchy rash. I know it sounds like voodoo, but it works for me.

Stress can make any allergy more reactive. There's no simple answer for stress relief and it's highly individual. I can say that when I am able to reduce negative stress that a lot of my allergy symptoms go away.

I had a full body rash as a reaction to taking a medication just once. It took 6 months for it to go away. It can be really hard to know what you are / aren't doing is actually helping your rash or not. If you do have a systemic allergy, antihistimines do help and not all of them are the same. There's differences between sudafed, claritin, zytac. Allergies are a pain.

I have a Nickel allergy and had it since I was a teenager. It's not a big deal unless the Nickel is making contact for long periods of time
and yes I will get a rash where the Nickel is touching.

Metal tabs on the inside of jeans will give me a rash during humid weather faster than normal.

A lot of people have it and don't know it...more popular than you think.
