Hi,

I was reading some of the information on here:

Types of Lithium-ion – Battery University

Nickel-manganese-cobalt batteries looked like the winner of the bunch, but when I do a search to see where I can actually buy one, I come up with nothing. Are these actually being made or is it more of a "It would be better if we would actually get around to making it" sort of thing?

Another thing that I've been wondering about... Is "AW" a brand of battery? If so, do they have a website?

I found a place that sells pcbs for li-ion protection as well as packs that already have protection. Maybe you guys already know about it, but I thought it was a good find:

BatterySpace.com/AA Portable Power Corp. Tel: 510-525-2328 - Powerizer Battery Official Site

They even have those batteries that I found on Lighthound in a 7.4V pack, but they aren't listing them as LiMnNiCo specifically. Their claiming that they are LiMnNi, so, I don't know which one it is, or if it is two different ways to say the same thing.

LiMnNi 26650 Battery: 7.4V 4Ah (29.6Wh, 5A rate) with PCB

Oh yea, I have seen the battery blow out. Its posted in a sticky in the new members forum:

I guess that answers it, IMRs aren't all that safe without some sort of protection circuit.
