I got a horrible burnt flavor and got a toothpick to see if the fiber I saw on the wick was cart filler and the mesh disintegrated. Never seen that before, although with age they tend to explode a bit. I'm not sure if this is a new atomizer or an old one.

All that's under the mesh bridge is a stainless bridge. Still works great. Actually better vapor. Will have to confine this one to dripping, but other than that, not a problem.

I'm wondering if the alcohol soaks are causing the mesh to break down?

Can't get a good picture w/o daylight

I had an Titan 510 atty come apart the same way or so it appears. I've been using it in rotation wiht one other atty for just shy of three weeks.

Same deal- noticed a rank taste- took a peek- got out my jeweler's loupe and tweezers, and carefully plucked out the fibers and what appeared to p[erhaps be some glue.

I carefully laid the stainless wick back over thr bridge and formed it into shape- seems to be working ok but it doesn't seem to drain a cart dry. I guess I'm g
onna have to break down and stock up on some spare baterries and attys. As cheaply as these things are manufactured it's a miracle they work at all! Had a 2-weelk old passthrough for my 401 die today too No love lost there, though. I'm gonna clean up my 401s and pawn 'em off (as used) to one of my cronies.

I wonder if there is a model with a 401-style atty with the performance of a 510?

Don't answer that- All of this saving of money I'm doing is costing me a fortune :-|
