Dont' have a Mephisto but I do have a copper V1 MTX as well as a host of others. Two I really enjoy with anything Nicoticket are the TOBH and the Patriot. May be a bit old school by todays standards but I can offer you this, with the right build, the flavors are amazing and they can be made to hit like a freight train!

Currently using a mephisto clone v2 rda, need to buy a 2nd one now. Looking at the muatation x v2. I hear good things about both v2 and v1. Any other atty or shiuld I just buy the authentic muatation x v2?

I have heard a lot of complaints about the MutationX v2's post screws they use a triangle shaped allen wrench and the tool is prone to breaking and you can only use the included drip tip which is black delrin. I have the v1 and nearly got the v2 but decided against it after I heard about the issues above.

The authentic Mutation X v2 is actually pretty cheap. I have one that I am currently using. The only thing I don't like about it is the top cap is pretty loose. I am also using an authentic Marquis which produces outstanding flavor and builds easy however it is expensive.

Hmmm... maybe a Derringer? I know it's a "current darling" atty, but early reports have it being excellent for both flavour and vapor.

I like the Mephisto, myself, and would suggest maybe an N22 or Nuppin' (if you're into bottom fed dripping or don't mind the squonk hole) as being comparable in terms of vape characteristics.

I haven't tried the Marquis yet (it's on my list), but it looks similar to the Veritas, which is very good for flavour.

I am not sure if it's still there or not but was a Nuppin' in the classies earlier. And hey Pappa! Is this the Reo forum am I lost lol. :p

ETA: Nuppin sold, but there is a Derringer up now. :thumb:

Haven't tried the Mephisto, but I love the Marquis. It is similar to the Veritas but highly improved and much easier to build. I like it enough that I bought a Catfish BF version.

Anyone that has a Veritas and finds the hex nuts on the positive post a pain in the rear, the AGA-T2 positive post nuts fit perfectly and make it so much easier to finger tighten.

Hmmm, these are some very thoughtful answers...I think I'm doing it wrong...
Everyone doesn't go to the B&M and try on all the atties to determine which one looks prettiest with their mod?!?

No wonder that guy thought I was a weirdo

It's your money. Why would it be wrong to ensure you spent it where and how you pleased?

I have a mutation V2, while it does use its own drip tip, the screws are now super tiny flatheads. It's a great piece if you're a sub-ohming lung hitter, That's the reason it has its own drip tip as it's much wider than a standard 510. Of course, I'm neither a sub-ohmer or lung hitter, but it works great for me with all the holes completely covered. I also own a Magma which I'm not currently using as it has an issue connecting to my Provari though it still is my preferred dripper.

In short, if you're a cloud chaser, the Mutation V2 is an excellent choice.
