Update: Tripped over this thread about the helpful lady at the Smokeless shop:
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...te-reviews/3314-www-thesmokelessshop-com.html

Seems that once again my memory failed me and her name is Katy, not Jane!

I agree with Keef though, I'm surprised there isn't a strength indication of some kind on the bottle. Even suppliers who seem to keep what they regard as Low/Med/High a bit of a secret in mg terms still label their bottles as such.

If you have been on 30mg a day you would probably want to have a reasonable high strength to start with otherwise you could start wanting 'real' cigs again. You can always reduce it or dilute it later. Once again, suggest you contact Katy (now I've got her name right)!

Thanks for that post ketsa. I appreciate the link and will try out the johnson creek liquid as well.

I emailed her, but shes new to this business. She said 11 ml at first, then i asked again and she said the juice is 18mg. not sure what the carts are, but the carts say high, so im guessing 8mg to 16mg or something like that.

what is the difference between PG, and Glycerine. (non PG). Is one supposed to be safer or something?

Im even paranoid about inhaling the stuff too much lol. I guess thats kind of a hypocrite since i smoke about 30-35 cigs a day. but im used to it u know. I guess its the devil i know lol. Weird.

Again you guys are a cool bunch. and appreciate the feedback.

You are most welcome!

As far as the cartridges you've got on hand go, if they say 'high' on them they will probably be 18ml. You could find you might go through 5-6 of these a day at the rate you normally smoke, so you can obviously see the advantage in refilling them yourself.

As for the difference between PG (Propylene Glycol) and VG (vegetable glycerine) it seems that opinion about inhaling PG is somewhat confused, so in the absence of hard evidence as yet, some prefer to err on the side of caution and avoid using it.

Glycerine is believed to be far less likely to cause problems, and also some people seem to exhibit sensitivity to the PG though I think this is relatively few. Read up the Health section of the forum for more info about this. Personally, I don't feel there's any way that inhaling either VG or PG can be anything like as hazardous as tobacco smoke.

Myself, I'm getting a bit cynical about the way medical advice is forever changing these days. We're none of us going to live forever and once upon a time they thought it was a good idea to give Thalidomide to pregnant women and spray children with DDT.

The modern environment, particularly urban, is nothing like where we were evolved to live and generally filled with all kinds of contaminants like petrol and diesel fumes for a kickoff, which aren't exactly good for you. I'll climb down off that soapbox now or I'll be here all night!
